Help ID Women's Omega Watch

Hi, I took the below watch to the jeweler's yesterday, and they took the back off for me. The watch has the following on the case:

A-7604

03336

14K Gold

I checked the Omega website and their vintage watch database, but wasn't sure how to use the database with the above information.

The watch also does not have the original band. Can replacement watch bands be purchased?

Thanks for your help.

The information found on the case, is for the case, not the movement.

The information found on the movement, is for the movement, and that's what is needed to check any watch database.

"The watch also does not have the original band. Can replacement watch bands be purchased?"

If you are saying the band is not branded with the Omega manufacturing marks, then more than likely, just like the case, it was not actually manufactured by Omega, but outsourced by Omega.

To avoid import duties, watch movements were shipped to different countries, then cased by companies hired by Omega. The bands were probably purchased "off the shelf" and added.

You can check completed listings for value, this type of Omega is not on most collectors radar, but the 14K ones seem to sell, the more bling, the more money.

If I were buying a watch I'd want one a bit less blurry.

The Omega Vintage Database is not a comprehensve reference for every model Omega ever produced.... far from it.  The place the Database is least complete is ladies' model and U.S.-market models.  Your case reference A-7604 is not in the database.

Your watch is indeed a U.S.-market watch as evidenced by the 14K gold case.  The Swiss market solid gold Omega watches used 18K gold cases, while 14K was primarily a U.S. standard.  The Swiss movement was imported into the U.S. by the Norman Morris Company (Omega's U.S. distribution agent at the time) and a U.S. manufactured gold case was fitted.

Judging by the case design, I would say the production year is early 1950s and the movement is likely a caliber 212.
