2009 Dayton All Wheels Weekend Car Show

Father's Day weekend, the little town of Dayton Washington comes alive with their 3 day All Wheels Weekend event.

This is the best car show in the Pacific Northwest!

Here is a link to the 400 plus cars that showed up. At 09:30, they closed registration, filled up, which was a first.

Starts off with Friday night Presentation of the cars, cruize, free movie in the movie house, show & shine, prizes, vendors, lawnmower drags, Men's "Drag Races and Beauty contest", 50/50, Slow Drags, Demolition Derby, great, friendly people, and more.

I was a double winner, took 1st place in 40's Custom and 1st place, plus $125 for the Slow Drags, for the 2nd year in a row. I had more fun than one should be allowed to have.

You'll have to wait until next year. You'll also have to be ready to leave at 4:15am, so we can get there by 5:30 to get my favorite parking space in front of the Eagles (breakfast and Bloody Marys) and Woody's (lunch and beer).

Thanks Judi, we did have a great time as always.

I hope all of you go to the link in the original post and look at all the cars. I only took 178 pictures as more were coming in as I finished taking pictures.

Below is me as I just crossed the finish line and making a left turn off the course. If you look to the left, you can see a part of a Camaro way back.

My time was 57.XX seconds, 2nd place was 1 minute and XX seconds. Ya roll down hill from a dead stop, winner decided by time. Did 1st last year, 2nd year before. This is my favorite event of the show. :-x

No, I don't pump me tire pressures up like a few. They were 34 lbs, max is 36 lbs.

Previous winners in the past would pump their tires up to 80 lbs. I run it the same as I drive it everyday.

It also doesn't matter whether I have 1 to 4 riders. In the past 9 years, never been more than 5/8 of a second slower than the winner.

wandrn, the T-bird is a local car, not Barris. It is very nice, as most are.

That Old Bothell school bus won in it's class, a real eye catcher, and did have a lot of people around it.

Ed, it is a great show and my favorite. There were a lot of new cars there this year. Didn't see as many Mopars as I normally do, but I looked at the cars early and only seen about half the cars in the link.

The show they had the previous week is in Joseph, Oregon, ""Oregon Mountain Cruize." It always has a lot of high dollar quality cars, a must go to show. Dennis Gage of My Classic Car was there shooting for his show.

The Mopar show was a few weeks ago, didn't go. I found out a few years ago, that it was not such a good idea to show a Ford at a Mopar show and shine.
