I need to buy ten - 12" High by 18" Wide frames. It can be plexiglass instead of real glass. The frame color does not matter as I have to spray paint it to match my clubs colors. I wold like the frame to be at least 1" thick. Does anyone have a place where they would recommend to buy these? I went to the local AC Moore and they were $8.50 for the plastic (cheap poster type) frames....yuk! Thanks so much!

I picked up this painting a few days ago at a Goodwill. As little as I know about art, this looked like a Keith Haring and was obviously an original painting, so I splurged my $7 and took my chances. I've contacted the Keith Haring Foundation in New York but they say they only do attributions 4 times per year. I need to submit pictures and wait. Anyway, while I wait, I thought it would be fun to share my thoughts. The painting is done using acrylic or vinyl paints on a Fredrix 18 x 24...

If there are any new upcoming artists who would like to scan their art pieces for reproduction/prints... I can help. I scan my own art for the past few years and thought I can help other artists on a part time basis to get their artwork scanned. I can scan original oil paintings up to 24" wide. If you are interested contact me via eBay or e-mail me at cazual@usa.com

Hi-- I'm hoping someone here can help me ID the type of art these three are and possibly give me some info on them. I picked them up at a frame/art shop back in the early 1980s; had them framed and now would like to list them. Each is titled and signed by the artist in pencil (but I cannot make out the name--I know, it would help but for the last 30+ years I've been trying to figure out that signature. I've googled and searched by the titles, the generic term "Fern," and...

I picked this up at an estate sale. I can't find any info on this artist. It is signed (as far as I can read) "Lorain After Doing Kingman" The back is stamped "Loraine Sexton Magnolia, Texas". It is handwritten on the back "copy" and "1972 in class". This does not look like a copy it looks like an original watercolor. It measures 12 x 9. Any info would be appreciated! Hi you all, I'm new here and my English is not perfect, so please forgive any mistake. I own an original art paint from Lydia Darvas. The name of the painting is Guarding the Blue Mountain, the subject is a landscape and the style is realist. The canvas size is around 48 " x 24. Signed and dated by the artist on 1975. Does anyone know the value if it? I will appreciate any help from you. Thanks in advance Maryerulyo Here you can see the painting AND HERE

Hi, I have a question related to titles of art auctions, if you don't mind providing your opinion. The Hudson River School was a particular style of paintings, and there are many artists that are well known that are associated with that art movement. So if today, in 2009, I were to make a painting of the Hudson River, could I title my auction "Hudson River School"? Similarly, if I painted one of the original Hudson River artists' houses, could I call my painting a "Hudson...

I have an painting that has been in my family for a while, by Jean Rigaud, a French impressionist, painted in 1956. (I would/will post a picture of it here if I could figure out how to do so.) It is signed. About 18" x 11" in size. Features 2 ships, mostly greyish tones, oil on canvas. " 'Heureux' et 'Pingouin' Mer de Barents" written on the back. I looked this painter up on the web and he seems to be somewhat famous. Any info, tips or pointers would be appreciated. I am considering...

Hi All - Greetings from Australia. I have recently come across 2 oriental themed paintings. They are approximately 13" x 19". They are on a browny type of flimsy paper. It looks like watercolor and there seems to be gold flecks throughout. There is a stamp on the back. I have taken a scan of one of the pictures. It is a cropped version as the scanner was not big enough for the whole image. I was hoping that someone might be able to give me some/any information on these items....

Does anyone know where to find a few boxes of Staedler Mars Dynagraph Plastic Lead Pencils??? Either N2 or N3 would be fine. I've contacted Staedtler directly, and they don't make them anymore. They are a regular shaped wood pencil that go into an electric pencil sharpener and produce a really good point. Their best feature is that you can draw on mylar with them and get absolutely no smearing on the drawing, yet the lines can be easily erased using a little moisture and a Staedtler white...
