I am an avid mystery fan and want my students to do a mystery genre book report. I am first year teacher so don't have a huge classroom library yet. I try to do a read aloud that corresponds to their book report. I love Agatha Christie, and I've checked out Westing Game, both of which are a little on the higher level side for this group. I have some students that read at 2nd-3rd grade level and comprehension is an issue even with a read aloud. Any suggestions? I am thinking of showing...
