I am sad to report that Stuart M. Kaminsky has passed away. The prolific author created four unique detectives who were featured in their own series of books: Porfiry Rostnikov, Abe Lieberman, Lew Fonesca and (my favorite) 40's Hollywood detective Toby Peters. If you are a fan of the genre, you might find his books enjoyable. Thank you, Mr. Kaminsky.

I searched for a book using just the title and no open listintgs were found. However Ebay did show another item (watch) that they suggested I may be interested in. Seems as if a potential buyer does not have the ISBN they may actually miss what there is for sale on Ebay. In this regard, Ebay searches don't appear to be...

Okay what am I missing about Straub? I've read several of his books and none (when he is the only author) is what I call horror..like the Hellfire Club.. Things like the Throat were predictible.. Am I reading his not so great ones or what?? or is it he has to compare to King, Little, etc and in the big scheme of things his writing is not at the same level as those? Hey Zack I reread Revelation..it is too creepy ..Idon't know wat it is but boy that one freaks me out..I start going to...

Anyone who can read Japanese. I would be grateful if you can tell me what these books are. They are a set of 12 books in a small portfolio. Some of the prints look hand colored and most have a stamped symbol in red ink. These are written entirely in Japanese.
