I have a 3 phase variac that I picked up in a business sale ... it came with a couple other things that I wanted. I'd like to pass it along to someone who actually wants it, but have no idea how to confirm that it works. it's big enough to make me nervous about getting too close when it's turned on. the label says Stayco model 5010-3Y input 240 V, 3 phase, 60 hertz output 0 to 280 V, 24.2 kVA, 50 A I can probable sell it as-is but if there's a way to check it safely that would be...

I am trying to sell electronic items of all sorts - lots of little things. They often come packaged on "tape and reels". I am unsure of how to best count them. I assume there has to be some sort of machine - almost like a reel - to - reel film projector that would spin the parts off one reel and put them on another and count them as it goes. Not sure what such a machine woul dbe called, or where to find one - if its even in my price range ... any one know ???? Probably would be way...

I'm soooooooooooooo frustrated. I ~KNOW~ you aren't supposed to list CPAP machines. But MANY do it everyday. There's a category for CPAP Accessories. Yesterday I spent 4 hours creating a listing for a LOT comprised of CPAP accessories (new): Made the mistake of thinking a heated humidifier that accompanies a CPAP was allowed. NONE of the items in the lot required a PRESCRIPTION. Even if certain medical devices MAY require prescriptions, sellers aren't told WHAT they are. Nowhere...

I suppose this will seem like a dumb question. I am considering trying to sell things on ebay as a part time job. Anything really, though I believe I would start out trying to stick to electronic parts, or widgets and other miscellaneous gadgets I have no formal business experience, though I did buy/repair/resell VCRs and computers while in school - making $500 - $1000 a week back in the early 90s. Maybe that indicates I have the drive to try to succeed, who knows. One thing I have no...

Hello, Not sure what this is. Picked it up at an auction this week. It is marked Dutchess tool Co. Beacon NY. Has a patent date of 1914. Someone mentioned some type of press. You pull the long handle and it presses down into the tray. The tray is removeable. looks like it has cutters up inside of the flat peice ? This is very heavy. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Mike (gavel-talK)

Was this used to release steam? Is there a specific name for it? It is not signed made of brass. When you push down on handle the disc on the back opens up. Not counting the handle it stands 4 3/4" tall and measures 3 1/2" across the circular brass area. Thanks for looking and sharing. Pictures Here! Pictures Here! Pictures Here! Pictures Here!
