Back by popular demand. This is the interesting auction thread for the Custom Made items and Services board. We can't promote ourselves but we can promote others. Seller ID Garbolatry has been stringing me along for months after I bought a custom-sewn Victorian dress for my wife. Very poor communication, weeks on end of silence. Finally claimed dress had shipped, but it was "lost by FedEx" and was "filing a claim". Now won't even respond to email. eBay won't do anything because it's been more than 45 days--which seller had told us it was going to take longer than to sew the dress, anyway.

Hello, I am sorry to report a problem and request help. I placed an order for a custom made item. The seller indicated on the site that the item will take aprox. three weeks to make. After purchase the seller, through email, informed me that orders were a little behind. I was in no real hurry, but did tell the seller that I wanted it for Fall use. The item was ordered the first week of August. Move to the end of September. No contact, so I sent several emails via ebay and personal-...

Hi, my name is Clay. I make unique turquoise jewelry. I imprint dog breeds, south west icons, Christian, pets: chinchilla & ferrets. I will be adding golf ball imprinting next year. On both medium I will be able to do custom orders for events, weddings, new baby, pets & animals, souvenirs and more.

I am looking at custom made Barbie invitations for my daughters b-day party. There are some sellers that have made their own invites using the Barbie logo and the design image that Mattel uses on their own party stuff. If I buy these they would put my info on them and email me the file. Then I would have to have them printed at Wal-Mart. My question is-since they uses the actual Barbie logo and images aren't these copyrighted? So if I go to pick these up will they tell me I can't have...

I sell personalized labels and tags - my average handling time varies depending on the order - when they provide me the personalized details, how complex the order is - small order versus large order. I don't know what to choose as the handling time. If I put 5 days - then eBay calculates the approximate shipping date and the customer will expect it then - if I choose the next level which is 10 days - that might scare customers off and not choose my products. Are we allowed to team up with related stores to offer cross promotions for their products in our stores in exchange for our store products being cross promoted in their stores? I only sell one product, which is a personalized, engraved eyewear case, so the store cross promotions don't really help me because they list the same product... and I wouldn't mind showing other stores products instead if my store was being promoted. Anyone know if this is possible or interested in this?

Ok I'm kind of looking for advise and not 100% this is right but I'm thinking of custom painting Nintendo Ds's and later game consoles such as xbox 360's, wii's, and maybe ps3's. But i have several concerns 1) can i get in trouble for painting and selling copyrighted images on said consoles if a customer requests them? because a lot of custom paint jobs for game consoles usually is themed around someones favorite game on said console 2) how they should be classified since the...
