Hi everyone: I am very excited to tell you about two big changes to eBay Giving Works that we have been discussing on this board for some time. You’ve been asking for them, and now they’re here! What’s changing? First, starting today the eBay Giving Works minimum donation has been slashed from $5 to $1 for each Community Seller listing that sells. For as little as $1 (or the donation percentage you select, whichever is greater) you can donate to your favorite nonprofit whenever you sell...

As always, the eBay Community is incredibly generous, raising millions of dollars for all sorts of worthy organizations this year. If you're one of those organizations who received a donation from a Community member, this is your chance to thank them and let them know what wonderful things their donations set into motion! Please post your stories here, thanks!

I have recently listed two items which I am donating a portion of the sale to a charity (Shake A Leg). On my listings, there is a notice that I am donating a portion of the proceeds to the charity, and a link to the ebay charity page, which is awesome that people have the opportunity to learn about the charity I am supporting. Unfortunately, on the charity page, there is a list of the categories and a separate list of the sellers that have items supporting the charity, and it is blank....

Hi there, I'm not sure how to list things that we are trying to sell for charity. My son (7yrs) has decided to hand make things this year and try to sell them on ebay so he can buy gifts for the kids at the local women's shelter and community house. Is there a way to list it as a charity auction? I'm new at selling things. I want to help him do the best he can. Thanks so much for your help. Sorry if I posted on the board. Not sure where to post. Thank so much for your help!!!

Just a suggestion: Whenever I send a feedback to a buyer after an item with a giving works donation, I always add "And thanks for supporting the Museum of the Plains!" (or whatever charity). I have no data as to whether or not this increases their awareness of what those little ribbons mean, but I'd like to think that it might make a difference. (Of course, if they really hate the Museum of the Plains (or whatever), they may regret having bid for that item from me!) --san33356

I both buy and sell here on eBay. I understand that charities are losing revenue this year due to the recession. I thought that if either or both the Salvation Army and/or Goodwill are Sellers here, I'd like to see what they're selling that I might be able to use at home. Does anyone know if they do sell here and if so - what are their user id's? Thanks in advance for any information any of you are able to provide.

How do we know whether our chosen charity is getting any of our money? I have given many times to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through Ebay Giving Works, and other than my money being taken through Paypal, I have no acknowledgement that any part of the donation reached its intended charity. If I'm just throwing this money down a big black hole, I'll just keep it. Dinah

I just wrapped up an auction to benefit an animal rescue where we decided to donate 100% of the profits to the rescue. Everyone has paid for their items through Paypal and I have shipped the items. What do I have to do now to donate the money to my charity? Does Ebay automatically withdraw the money from my Paypal account or do I have to pay it to Ebay myself? Lastly, does Ebay keep a percentage of each sale as a commission on Ebay Giving works and if so how do I figure out what I need to pay...

170400766071 (this is just one of the item #s) can't be edited Looks like I have no choice but to close the listings that have Giving Works and pay for original listing fees as well as relisting fees. I did not see anywhere in the help or information section about the Giving Works program that once you list an item using this you can't go back and edit any part of the program. The radio buttons are not clickable, the percentage cannot be changed. I wish I would have known this before I...

Hey all, I've been selling for just over a month now, and about 50% of my listings are partial non-profit listings (ASPCA). My two questions are: Do buyers know that I give part of my profit to NPOs? Specifically, in a listing that does not have the profit go to ASPCA. Or do I only get attention for the items I list that have a percentage donation to ASPCA? Also, how do I get tax documentation for my donations. Thanks to everyone who helps.
