Dear Mission Fish listed Public Charity I do not know if you have had experience with Mission Fish yet, but please beware. Our recent and first experience was horrific and Mission Fish refuses to explain requested accounting problems. As you can see from the chart, many items benefited Ebay and subsidiaries, to from 50% to more than 100% of the selling price. You might ask how they could get more than 100%? They took extra money from the debit card on file that was supposed to allow...

I sold an item a couple weeks ago with a 15% donation. I tried to pay for the donation a week ago and it still says "payment in progress", and I haven't been charged yet. How long does it usually take them to take the money out of paypal?

Instead of giving sellers the option to donate from the portion of an eBay sell that they receive, they should have the option to donate the portion of the sell that eBay takes. So, you can decide to either give your money to a huge corporation, or a charity. Why wouldn't you donate? Then eBay can truly feel as if they've done something good, because they donated their own money instead of coercing others to donate.

Hi! Thanks to giving works lowering their donation amount, I can now participate with my items. I have about 1000 exsisting items that I would like to add giving works to, but don't know how to go about doing this. Or is it only possible to add giving works to new listings? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You!

I am trying to set some of my listing to donate to a Giving Works charity. It reads that I have past due donations that I need to settle before I can choose a charity. When I go to Giving Works and click on Donations Due, there are none. I am looking in the wrong place? I don't know of any donations that are due.

Is there anyway to "add" ebay giving works to an already listed auction? Or can this only be done for new listings?

"I would like to add a charity to my listings, how do I go about doing this?" I live on a native american reservation so my charity would involve them since the poverty level here is so terrible and there are so many people in need...so I don't want it to go to a foreign country...how do I go about doing this?

I had placed auction listings with 50% of the selling price going to the American Cancer Society. My items sell for $4.00, so $2.00 of that would go to donation. Why does in the donation amount is listed as $5.00, when it should be $2.00. Did I miss something?

My husband and his musician friends have all donated their time and effort. They have made a CD and are selling it to raise money for our local food bank. The food bank was set up to help about 50 families a month and last month had over 270 families. I don't want to go through Mission Fish because they get 4.00 of every sell. That seems like an awful lot of money for a CD, and that money could do a lot of good locally. The only expense we take out of the proceeds is the fees that...

I went through the payment process immediately after the buyer paid, last month. Now "when I tried to lis it said Ebay needed to update how I would pay for Giving Works donations, but when I clicked on that link and tried to authorize it to use Paypal, same as my auction fees, it also didn't work." Now my donation history page shows "Payment in Process" just as before. The long quote is from user truelori who described the problem concisely. And obviously experienced the same issue.

i've read through a few posts, and it appears to me that ebayers are attempting to use this 'donate to charity' feature on small listings that draw little attention/ bids/money. i think for my first charitable auction i'm going to approach it a little differently, and i need some advice. i'm going to offer a $75 item that normally gets alot of traffic anyway, but pay the extra to feature it, and blow the donation aspect up (farm sanctuary is my registered non-profit), and i would like to...

Hi all! I can't figure out the way charity listings work. Can I state that all proceeds go toward charity? And will I pay for listing and final sale cost? (as I feel that it's fare for the charity to pay that, I'd be the one listed the item not them). If the charity I want to give to is not listed how can I donate it to them? If it don't sell what happens.? Can I relist it ?
