We want to thank the many affiliates that have contributed so many helpful questions, tips, and productive discussions on our boards over the past few months. We also felt that this is the right time to address a topic that a number of our affiliates requested, which is the high volume of off-topic and non-constructive posts on the eBay Partner Network board. We've received this feedback both from many of the affiliates who still use or read the boards, as well as many of our most...

Hello All, Starting October 1st, we will require that users have an active eBay Partner Network account in order to make posts to the eBay Partner Network discussion boards. We’re making this change as a result of feedback from a number of publishers. In people’s experience with other networks, limiting the boards to publishers in the network has been helpful in encouraging constructive and helpful conversations on the boards. In addition, if specific issues or bugs are reported by...

I've always maintained that if you're going to have an affiliate network that pays by click, or in the case of the EPN, determines how much you're going to get paid per click by the number of clicks you get, you need to be able to determine what a "click" is. Every reputable PPC affiliate network has gone to considerable trouble to make sure advertisers aren't getting ripped off. Either by affiliates who may be tempted to click ads on their websites, or by bots, who may "click" ads...

These link search strings can be found in forums: Of course "cgi.ebay.com" is the main one. "shop.ebay.com" "stores.ebay.com" How many others are there and is the commission payback worth bothering to convert these to rover links?

I am new to the program, and still adding Ebay widgits to my pages; but after one month, I can't figure out why the correlation between impressions, clicks, and earnings is so weak. I especially don't understand why, every now and then, there is a day with plenty of clicks but zero earnings. Also don't understand why report-by-campaign shows some campaigns with zero impressions but lots of clicks, and others with lots of clicks but zero impressions.) Here is my January dashboard...

If a visitor to my site sees an eBay product they like and click through to eBay, that shows as one click in my stats. If they decide not to buy it, go back to my site and browse some more and see another product and click through on that, does that show as a second click in my stats? In other words if they move back and forth between eBay and my site several times will that show up as several clicks or just one?

Is it acceptable to mention historical price data in articles that also display EPN links? I read some vague rules against it in the eBay API documentation but do not see similar language in the EPN terms. Specifically can I mention what a certain object or collectible has sold for in the past within articles I write along with a date+final price+auction ID as a way to encourage bids on lower priced auctions? example: "Sold for $80.00 on Feb 21st, 2050 - item# 123456789" ? example: (this...

Hello all, This is my first post to EPN Forum, I've always been a reader to this forum, and found many postings by members very helpful. Thought I ask for help here to see if anyone has a similar situation or dealt with similar situations. Background My main method of driving traffic to eBay is through software, for example, toolbar. I am not just talking about a simple toolbar that offers search functionality. But a complex one that allows you to search ebay visually, and allows you...

Maybe you've got a site that you don't have time to manage or improve, or maybe it's just not performing very well for you or you'd rather spend your time on other things. Don't just abandon it - get some money for it! I'm not too worried about the current level of revenue or how well the site is built as long as it has a good strong concept and preferably an established domain. Please don't post your site details on this thread - reply to tim.epn [@] gmail.com (removing the square...

This may be old news to some, I was just doing my usual of brainstorming ideas and looking out for new niches and/or hobbies I might enjoy building a site around and I thought i'd check out comic books. I Googled "comic books on eBay" and saw the usual "Shopping results for comic books on ebay" take top spot on Google.com with pictures and 3 different offers. I didn't click through on the offers but in hovering over them those appear to be rover links. I was just curious if they are the...
