Well....my sales seemed to finally pick up at the beginning of November. After about 2 wks of doing better...Im back down to barely selling. Im feeling very alone....things should be picking up by now. Im beginning to wonder if there is something wrong in my store. Am I the only one????

Anyone else checked out "Glyde"? New place to sell for books, DVD, CD, media - by former eBay Motors guru. Not going to give "links", lots of news about it. Just put Glyde in search. You'll get everything form the actual site, to news like USA Today / "Glyde takes on eBay". Curious as to what others - particularly if you sell books/media - think of the overall concept. Is it something you would try?

I'm in a tiny rural PO the other day (close to my house in TN) and someone came in asking if Fedex had left a package for them...I'm thinking they are asking at the wrong place...but no. According to the postperson at that location..."Fedex and UPS pay the USPS to deliver stuff to rural areas"... She did not define 'rural'...But apparently if you use UPS or Fedex because of perceived reliability you may end up having the US Post Office deliver it anyway.

I went to synchronize and everything went crazy then I realized should not have done that . all my sales prices are now showing as the original price so now I will have to go back and edit 800+ items and check the price

We have the product, but I am not certain we have our store setup for the most maximized visits, nor does it look as charming or professional as many of the stores I have seen . Does anyone have a favorite company from ebay's list of vendors? Any help would be appreciated. Laur.

I spent the better part of three weeks about a month ago updating anything that needed to be for the new ebay rules shipping time etc . - plus we stated that we no longer took money orders and that apparently had the ebay software confused and it thought we were offering to take money orders . any way i digress so yesterday during the great 2009 outage about twenty items that just were rolled for another 30 days on gtc were canceled by ebay more information needed -so apparently the system...

f you do, check your stats for last Saturday (Nov 21) for unusual numbers. Mine show a much lower number of impressions (that makes sense considering the Search outage) BUT a much higher number of hits (the highest in a long time). It does not make much sense and I suspect potential buyers were clicking on the store link, getting no response and clicking again, and again... Since AdCommerce gets paid by the number of clicks, we are getting screwed. I wrote to them this morning...

Im a photographer and started to post some of my photos in a store as fine art prints. Im new to this and would like to get some tips on how to get traffic into the store. Maybe keywords or using the search engine. I have put some key words in the keyword seach engine section but when I search those words nothing comes up. Maybe Im not doing it right or maybe I just dont understand how the search keyword works. Any tips would be great. Thanks

Apparently the Search Function that enables you to select items for your store Markdowns is still dysfunctional. I have been "chatting" with ebay and she is "looking for a workaround." Anyone else having problems with this?

As seen on several Threads on several different Boards, sellers and even some buyers do not like the new star rating system for a variety of reasons. It is subjective at best and DOES NOT promote COMMUNICATION between Buyer and Seller. By making it an anonymous feedback vehicle, it in fact, discourages communication between Buyer and Seller. Hi all - I have a buyer who has paid for an item but who did not read the description and now does not want the item. No sweat - it happens and the item has not shipped yet. I usually run certain searches each morning. Some have very few returns and always shows store items that fit that search at bottom. Not this morning-no store items showing at all, even if only 2 or 3 items show up. Is this part of the search problem, or the way it will be? Bad news for stores if it is!

I tell her to look closely at where the buyers are from and if the package weighs over 2 lbs and if they are from the west coast to put them in a flat rate box. With this latest "incident" on eBay I believe it's time to bring up a major problem eBay had in late January of 2008. I had been revising some of my store items, changing/adding information for potential overseas buyers, for a couple of weeks, as items were coming up for their new 30-day cycle. Ive been doing some searches for items based on the postings in the other thread. I searched for ATARI DELUXE INVADERS First return was 1 item in CORE and none in stores. (no rule of under 30 inclusion) I added Store inventory inventory then 4 showed up all at the top. I search again 3 times and each time had the same error message of ZERO returns.. Marty

I went on live chat today to find out why of 66 items in my inventory only one shows up as in store inventory. I was told I would have to end my items because you can't change format and re-list them as store inventory. Sooooo........I went in and told it to end a number of items that had just re-listed so still had over 6 days to go and it told me I couldn't end them or edit them because they were not part of the store inventory! What kind of a catch-22 is this? How do I straighten it out?

Somebody bought a $140 BIN from my store yesterday and paid immediately. This evening I got an email - Would you consider relisting as a buy it now for $120? That is the most I am willing to pay. I'm aggravated about it, but willing to cancel the order and refund them. Just a couple of heads up regarding the backup from TL. I had a crash here a couple of weeks ago and it required a complete restore so I lost everything that was on my hard drive. I had just done a backup so I didn't loose much. In the process I did learn a bit and also confirmed previous lessons. - Back up your data regularly - If you use TL, make sure that you backup is on an external file. - I was a little surprised when I restored from my TL backup. I used to have a ebay store and I am thinking of coming back but I cannot find the fees for listing in a store. Do they charge the same for the store to list in inventory as they do to list for individuals? It used to be about 2 cents for a small item. now it looks like 35 cents minimum. I made a post back in Jan 2009 about something here: Link What was going on was when ebay was tinkering, they had set it so you as the seller looking at your own listings were not seeing the buyers view of your listing. As a buyer, they were seeing the ads on my listing. When I was logged in looking at my own I couldn't see it. While some of us see these competitor ads I guess the point that I am trying to make is, they probably did that and could very well do it again in order to get you...

With less than 24 hours notice, eBay has made a major change to the site - and a major change in the eBay/seller relationship. As of this morning, all live listings carry - at the bottom - your competitors listings too! You are now paying to advertise your competitors products - and the most popular ones (according to eBay). Where is the seller outrage? I am quite upset, but realizing there is nothing I can do... I am just going to triple my efforts to get away from this anti-seller...

My better half is searching ebay this afternoon. Her blood pressure is climbing. See is getting hang ups. She is getting zero returns. She is getting error pages. She is getting told that Ebay cannot run her search right now try again in a few minutes. I told her to go search Amazon / web, less stress all the way around. Do you promote your store outside of Ebay, I am talking about links on social websites like Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc? It looks like there is a whole science to it. I've seen people write blogs or articles to promote their independent website. I've signed up with Twitter recently, but don't really know much about it.
