Let's say a buyer claims I sent him an empty box (on international, so no buyer protection at all). Could I file a claim (with USPS)?

capitall-e.com is a fraud. Look at their 'about us'' page. It says that they are a Portugese company, but that they are licensed by Belgium. This is a typical escrow fraud. The first hint appears on their home page where they claim that they are partnered with eBay. To prove that's false, go to the help in eBay and look at the help page for escrow. There, they list those escrow sites approved by eBay. Domain Name: CAPITALL-E.COM Registrar: MELBOURNE IT, LTD. D/B/A INTERNET...

I recently purchased something that was $29.99, and on my page that displays items won it said there was an $8.00 shipping charge and the total was $37.99, so i paid for it without realizing he changed the charges and on his page that displays the item says $8.00 insurance was added, it wasn't there when i bid on it. And without thinking i paid for the item realizing he didn't give me a choice on insurance and charged me $45.99, way too much. And he is saying the $16.00 shipping and insurance...

What is the rules for insurance? I recently purchased an item and would like to insure it so in case it gets lost or broken in transit, I can recoop what was spent on it. The seller doesn't seem to want to insure it even though I have stated that I would pay for it. I have emailed 4 times regarding this with no response. Should I email ebay regarding this? Thanks for any help.

I received an item via USPS that was insured, and it was damaged when I opened the box. I would rather have it repaired than just toss it out, so I'm getting some repair estimates to include with my insurance claim. I'm wondering if the post office will keep the item when I bring it in to file the claim, even though I want to repair it? Or do they just inspect it and let me keep it? I've tried emailing them tis question but I can't get a straight answer. How common is it to have the claim...

I want to give buyers the option of buying insurance - where they can select it on the paypal invoice. I know that to do this, I need to chose it as "optional" in the shipping and handling section of the auction listing form. My problem: I forgot to do that for two auctions I have listed, and one already has bids! I was able to change it when there were no bids. But how do I do it afterwards? Currently it says that insurance is "not offered." I want it to say "optional," and I cannot...

Hi, I would like to find out which insurance company offer business insurance for home-based business? We have called several companies from yellowpages, no luck, due to great liability, if any sellers here can give us your insurance company for us to start calling, so much appreciated. If the seller is in Florida, it is even better, due to the hurricanes a few years ago, getting an insurance is a headache, so any input/suggestion would be so much appreicated. Thank you all!

Not sure why your thread disappeared, unless you had some of your own info in there. The offer was a SCAM for sure. Too much of that email, supposedly from eBay staff, is off, grammatically. It was not written by someone whose first language is English. I won't bother to point the mistakes out, no point in giving any scammers who read the boards any help. Suffice to say that these guys can make up quite convincing looking emails with pretty eBay logos, as I'm sure yours is. But...

I sold a $370 electronic item to buyer on eBay auction and shipped it insured to buyer. I am a Trading Assistant and the item was sold on behalf of a customer who dropped it off at our store. I have to pay the customer the proceeds from the sale or return the merchandise. Buyer tried the item out and claimed it was not compatible with his computer and he wanted to return it. He obtained an RMA, and buyer returned the item by USPS Priority Mail and purchased USPS insurance. Now the item...

I just purchased a used Ibook, and soon after purchase was offered the usual ST warranty via email. I was wondering, since the laptop is used and occasionally suffers from a video chip problem, how could the seller possibly offer a warranty for this? It doesn't seem like you could warranty something that already has a problem (at least to me). It was only approx 16$ for the warranty so I took it anyways for good measure.

The item I purchased arrived broken and although the box was slightly bent at the bottom, it did not appear to be damaged in such a way to cause the item to be broken. I suspect the seller shipped it knowing the item was broken. I informed the seller who denied shipping it broken. I had paid extra to the seller for insurance. She instructed me to take it to the PO to make claim. The PO informed it was not insured through them, but through PayPal. I do NOT have a PayPal account. This was done by...
