Does anyone have any positive or negative feedback on a hand-held or mini sewing machine. I don't sew and have never purchased one of these but I would sure like to have a reliable and easy to use machine here at home to do some minor repairs and projects. Any feedback on specific models or makes is really what I'm looking for in advice.

Just wondering what to pay someone for sewing our designs? We provide material and cut pieces, just need help with the sewing part! My daughter actually draws the original design, I make the pattern and the prototype. Now that orders are coming in I can't keep up. Mostly use ultrasuede, leather and suede, pigskin, lambskin, some exotics mostly for embellishment. Ultrasuede and Lycra stretch fabrics for main body. Any help would be appreciated! Ann myvintiques

Hello Ladies - I am very new to this whole Custom Arena. I had made a few sets previous to Christmas and they sold -- although not for anything outstanding but, they did sell. The Buyers did leave positive feedback and appeared to be pleased with the purchase. Since then I have been working on and listing other items and outfits. They are getting hits and watches but no bids. I have been trying to research what the veteran Sellers / Designers are doing and have done what I can think of...

And I need HELP!!! I want to make a twirl skirt for my grandduaghters...both are tiny 2 year olds...see my ME page for pix I can sew quite proficiently...I cant, hopwever, create patterns. I cant find a pattern and dont know how to create one. Does a pattern exist? If there is no pattern, does someone on Ebay sell patterns or directions. Do you think there is any interest for Girls clothes featuring Thomas the Tank Engine or train theme? My 3 year old daughter absolutely loves Thomas and I buy boys shirts and pj's and customize with bows to look more feminine. What do you think?

I am new to this board and hope this is the correct board for this question! I get asked frequently if I will discount my socks I sell on Ebay. I am very confused on what to do. If I discount much, I lose money but if I don't discount, I never hear from the potential bidder again. I have tried to discount when a certain number of socks have been sold to one buyer. For example, 50¢ off a pair when buying over 5 pair. I have also tried free shipping. But most people want $3 off a...

Hi - Hoping someone here can give me some opinions. I bought a Singer 185J at a yard sale. I paid $25 for it. It is a real cute little green machine. I want to take it to sewing classes with me when I start after Christmas. My question is - do these machines have a good reputation? It seems to be stuck or something right now but I can take it in to be serviced. I also find it sort of heavy for such a little machine. 10/12/09 Has anyone made pillowcase dresses? Would like to make some, can't find info on how much ribbon to use per dress. Need to know before I order ribbon. Would like to use the elastic thru neckline and attach ribbon at the end. Can anyone help?

10/29/09 Hi, I am having a dickens of a time locating upper front chest measurements for children size NB thru 6. Trying to make pillowcase dresses and need this msrmnt for the elastic across the top of dress. Can anyone help....if you have a child in this size range...could you send me this msrmnt? I have tons of fabric/yardabe to sell. A few of them are too good to cut up for quilts. I'd like my listings for these to reach ebay designers who make pageant outfits and custom boutique childrens clothes. One I have in mind is perfect for the little 'cracker jack' print outfits I saw on ebay a couple of years ago. I also have some beautiful cotton satine. Any advice on how to list? Thanks

Please, does anyone know where I can find fabric with The Littlest Pet Shop characters on it? I know it exists, I just have to track it down! The piece I saw was pink with the animals randomly printed and they were standing in circles. There was dogs with a little paw print motifs and bones in the background. Preferably from an online store as I am not in the US. If its not on ebay then where is it??? Thanks
