I sure do wish e-bay would allow a prospective bidder/buyer to filter out any items with a reserve when doing an item search.

Today I bought a music CD on eBay for $2 plus $3 shipping. It was listed as being in Like New condition. The seller was asking for $5 or Best Offer, so I made a $2 offer and they accepted it without any countering. This is the first time I've ever bought a used CD. Is this a normal price for a CD that is still in Like New condition? I was just a little surprised that the seller accepted my offer so quickly and didn't attempt to counter my offer. At $2, I just don't see how the seller...

Hello All! I found a listing on craigs list asking to buy designer price tags. (I check-in to see what people are looking for.) They claim to collect them, and only want the price tag not the other tags. I think they may just want them to sell fakes, because they are asking for Abercrombie, Holister, American Eagle, Express. Ralph Lauren ETC. While these brands maybe fashionable and main stream popular, they are not considered designer labels. I'm just curious on any thoughts, no...

I recently encountered a rude seller when making an offer on something. I found that there was no appropriate category on ebay to report this. I kept being advised to enter the "item number". I had long since deleted the item from my ebay, but the hurtful messages from the seller will stay with me for a long time. Submitting a "best offer" should be a fairly cut and dried process for both the seller and prospective buyer - the offer is simply either accepted or denied. Comments from a...

When you place a bit on Ebay, Ebay sternly warns you that you are entering into a legally binding contract. So I buy a hard drive, the seller doesn't ship (or at least hasn't shipped it yet), so I head off to learn all about the dispute resolution process. Given that Ebay had made the point that I was entering into a legally binding contract, I assumed that the dispute to be resolved was that the seller appeared to be defaulting on the contract. Well, no. Under contract law, I'm...

I have searched many places and can't seem to come up with the answer I need. My apologies if I am posting in the wrong area.... In the 'help' areas I read, "Lots" seem to say something about items should be identical. Yet I have seen coin "lots" of different sizes, metal etc. So Can a person for example auction two different style, color, material, shape hats as "one set of two 1920 hats" as a single listing? Does it have to be listed as a 'lot'? Also, another question which I guess...

Hello all...I have a problem with sellers that advertise "Make an Offer". There are some that leave you hanging for a couple days and this freezes your chance to make other offers. You are at the mercy of these sellers and a change has to be in order. If a seller is going to offer this option than be prepared to answer them in a timely manner! I really hate to be tied down for 2 days because a seller can't get off its butt to answer to the offer. Thanks for your time!!....Robert Lee

HI! Just wanted to find out if anybody else has noticed receiving a "reminder notice" to pay for a won item? I have gotten 2 just today. They appear to be computer-generated and are from 2 different sellers. I originally received the "you won this" notice and the following invoice. I contacted both sellers because I was bidding on other items with them and they had indicated they would combine shipping. (One of them even had a 5 day period to pay). They both e mailed me back that...

Hello. Under our primary Ebay account we sell caricature-like artwork and I have a question. My sales have been HORRENDOUS like so many other people on Ebay. Now, I am not really interested in a bash Ebay discussion as much as I am interested in some advice on how to make the best of a bad situation. What I was wondering is since artwork is an acquired taste and some people like it and some do not, and it's not as popular as say, sports jersey, fragrances, or such, do you think I may spark...

Starting on August 31st, eBay is going to institute a new policy where photos you upload to any listing are put into a "catalog" of online images that any eBay user can then use for their own listings. The default setting for this is opt-in, which is a problem if you, like me, consider your photographs your property and want to control how they are used and by whom. A copyright notice is posted with a link to your user profile, but no additional information is given, and the link is quite...
