I wanted to get some fun discussions going on this board and wanted to try something new - so I figured I'd start by asking everyone for their Top 5 Movies of all time. And hopefully then adding reviews for them and links to the that review page. I'll start with some of my favorites - add reviews and vote! 1. Old School (Link) 2. Bull Durham (Link) 3. Raising Arizona (Link) 4. Memento- needs reviews!!(Link) 5. Say Anything (Link) So what are your favorites?! Reply to the...

People doing reviews of things when they obviously have a conflict of interest because they sell such items; ie making it sound all good! ex: I sell cellphones as my day job I also sell on efake everynow and then, so I know what's good and what's not. Do a search on reviews and you see these fools swearing by some products like their life depended it on it. Click in the usename, and what do u see the very same item for sale, me as somewhat as an expert know that is trash. Your thoughts!

guides I have written (three more chapters still to be done to the art history. The last one will be tying them all together and how one can relate/view historical influences on contemporary art). Link Link Link Link Link Link having gone through this exercise, I have noticed a few things: 1. there is no portal for help immediately accessible. I had to run around all over the place and finally ended up sending the request through PS support. 2. there is no where to...

Didn't get any feedback from ebay so we will try again. Ryan, I have a suggestion on the Reviews and Guides that might get a few more listed. I have two guides for which I am grateful to have, but out to the right of them are other peoples products which I am the user at the top and it's not my products. My suggestion is that if the products were from the one who listed the review or guide, that would make it more worthwhile to write them. One would think that by taking the time to write...

Here's some wise advice from the "Guitar Buying Guide": "Electric guitars contain a lot of metal and make a poor choice for bonfires and cookouts. They are hard to hear unplugged and you probably won't be able to power an amp in the great outdoors." "Audiences have a hard time hearing an acoustic guitar over the din of a crowd." "Guitars can get kicked and beat up at clubs, bars, and even coffee shops if you're not careful." "Don't throw your guitar in the corner at home or when you...

I was just checking out my Guide, and I don't see my UserID next to "By:" under my Guide title- either on the listing page or the actual Guide page. My "Member Information" isn't coming up on the Guide page either. What's up? Sarah

What do you do when the manufacture won't honor the warranty of a new product because you bought it on ebay. They say it's the sellers responsibility and the seller wants to bill me to fix it. I said no way and he said take it up with the manufacturer. Thats just so wrong. I bought a new product from a company that just happens to sell on ebay. If I had gotten at Walmart I could take it back. Can't do that here.

Hi, I contributed two guides last night, both of which I had already written. One is information that I have on a custom page in my ebay store Link and the other one is part of an ebay workshop that I held a few years ago. Link I would like to do the rest of the workshop as a guide as many people have found it very helpful, but few people actually see it. Link but it is very looooong. But, I don't really feel that cutting out info would be a good idea. There are updates that I...

My initial reaction to the reviews/guides feature is quite positive, that it's potentially good addition to the site. (When there are more ratings, done, it would be good to have a way to have the written material rank in searches according to usefulness... there's sure to be a lot of bogus ones filed!) Here are my two efforts so far: A Beginner's Guide to Choosing Sewing Patterns Link Hawaii members: Buying and selling on eBay! Link The first is a no-apologies effort to drive...

It would be really cool if we could use anchors within our guides - it's very helpful when navigating a longer guide:Guitars Buying GuideI tried but the interface won't accept anchors - or am I doing something wrong? My "Shabby Chic Decor" Guides - My Store

Hello! Just wrote my first guide a href="http://reviews.ebay.com/Trash-to-Treasure-with-Decals-Shabby-to-Chic-Decor_W0QQugidZ10000000000005971 "Trash to Treasure with Decals: Shabby to Chic Decor" So far 5 of 5 people gave it a thumbs up - Yipee! What I don't understand is this: when I do a search on eBay for "Trash to Treasure" on the sidebar (below "Matching Categories") I see the following: Buying Guides * Knitting, Crochet & Yarn * Crafts * Sewing, Quilting and...

I'm not trying to advertise-when I ask this info but too early to try to make it hypothetical. I sell embroidered towels and am writing a guide on bath decorating. Of course my intent is to sell towels. There has been some discussion (store board) about the items that are displayed on the right not being those of the author and I agree that I don't want to spend the time writing the thing in order to display products of others, if I can avoid it (smile). SOOOO if I make the tags...
