It is very important that all sellers with non-paying bidders file unpaid item disputes if payment is not received from buyers. Since negative feedback can no longer be left for buyers who do not pay to warn other sellers, filing an unpaid item dispute has become more import than ever. Filing a dispute and then closing it eight days later will give the buyer a strike towards suspension and is the only way sellers have to protect each other from bad buyers. I make it pretty clear in my auction that item is as is and i dont accept returns or refunds. However every such a case occurs where the buyer files a claim i ALWAYS forced by ebay to accept the item back and give the buyer a refund. What gives? what's the point of stating not returns or refunds?? Help, thanks.

There is an announcement today on Ebay that they are increasing fees to sell starting March 30, 2010. They are acting like it's exciting news because they are lowering insertion fees (by 25 cents!), but then the final value fee is 9% flat rate, as opposed to the 8.75% for the first $25, and then 3.75% after that. I have just started selling, and this is making it really unappealing to sell on here.

I see alot of other sellers with the 'Top Rated' logo on their auctions... but I always have better stats, and for some reason I don't have it too. I have 100% feedback, and 5.0 in 'as described', and 4.9's in all other catagories (even shipping costs). So when other sellers have the TRS, but there stats are way less than mine, I can only assume you get it by the selling alot. If it's based on QUANTITY and not QUALITY... why is it called 'Top Rated'?

Logged into my photobucket account day before yesterday, cleaned up my albums and then updated to Pro. Upon exiting I got hit with a popup box saying my computer was infected and did I want to scan. I clicked No as I use Norton Internet for my virus protection. Something called "Antivirus Soft" hijacked my computer and kept trying to force me to purchase this software. Was unable to execute any programs and eventually it started popping up porn sites. Norton wanted to charge me $99 to fix...

This is not the name I use to sell or buy - or haven't for quite some time. I am a small volume antiques/collectibles seller that the new April "rules" will have a totally negative impact on. My question is this - I just purchased, before I read the fine print of the auction, a pair of earrings that closed at 1 cent. I thought - whoa really good deal! I apologize in advance for this topic as I am sure it's been covered but I had trouble trying to navigate the forum in search of.... I listed an item for what I believed to be a very reasonable/ low amount and used the shipping method that is calculated for each individual. This has happened to my wife and I numerous times. We are selling real items, to only have our item removed for supposedly being fake. I'm POSITIVE this is successful sellers being greedy and reporting us. This should be illegal and is very very low. We are just trying to provide for our family as you as for yours. Remember, GOD SEES ALL! Has anyone else had this problem?
