Hello, I'm not an expert on glass. Any information you can provide is appreciated (i.e. date, maker, etc). The glass has a light amber hue. Thank you.

Hi y'all, I had the good fortune to purchase a 7 ft Evergleam aluminum tree. It is very dirty, almost looks gold toned now. Is there a safe cleaner and mothod to get the grime off and restore it's beauty? I thought of filling the bathtub with warm water and some kind of cleaner, letting it soak, and showering off the branches. Has anyone ever attempted this successfully? thanx for any help.

Apologies if I am posting on the wrong board. I was reading posts trying to find a proper board but had no luck. Anyway, I have an incredible burgundy 1950s satin day dress that is so beautiful it makes me want to faint. Only problem is it has huge fade marks around the pit and the only remedy I can think of is to dye it. I have not dyed any garments since I was a teen and when I did then I used Rit dye and the care of the garment post dying seemed very messy. Has anyone attempted a similar...

I found this feather pin in a box of junk jewelry from my grandmother's house. Mom's pretty sure it's from the 40's; it's about 2 3/4" long and the pin back is detached on one end (I can't tell exactly how it was originally held on, it looks like the back of the pin has/had some tiny "tabs"). It feels a bit greasy, smells like something not-plastic but I'm not sure what.

We recently came across what I believe to be a Lionel # 50 pre war standard gauge locomotive/engine in a large collection that we purchased. It has been partialy restored & repainted so it has no decals. It is very similar to the #33 that has very small holes in the 4 vents. This one has the larger holes in the vents. If it is in fact a #50 it would have only been built in 1924 v/s the #33 built from 1918-1923 and should have more value. Any help on identy and value would be appreciated....

I'm trying to find out if the story matches the facts on this wall plaque. Does anyone recognize the Italian man. logo on back? Appears to be cypress or cedar. Was told it was decoration made for small Texas Town Dept/General Store for 1936 Texas Centennial. So I'm trying to figure out if this is pre or post WWII to see if story is even possible. Many of the carved figures in our older Churches were carved in Italy, so.......

Hi - These have walnut wood shelves and the bottom parts are molded like a pot metal. What would you call this design? Any ideas? I'd say early Home Decor but I think the quality is too good for that. At least I think the wood is walnut They're 10" long and the shelves are 10" wide. On the back one has a "1" and the other has a "2".

Does anyone have a suggestion of how I could get the word out to "Sellers" of vintage linens? I am a Interior Designer that likes to buy my clients lovely vint linens as a parting gift when I finish a project. However, I do not even look at linens that come to me from my "saved search" feature IF THE SELLER DOES NOT PUT THE DIMENSIONS OF THE TABLECLOTHS OR NAPKINS in the TITLE of the item. I do not have the time nor the inclination to click on every item that comes to me that does not have...

I have a great question to ask all you people out here that are in your 40-50-60 age range!! I'm looking for a trading card that came out in the 1960's. I believe they had haunted houses, with doors that you opened up, and they showed various scary ghosts or monsters behind them. Does this ring a bell with anyone?? They came in trading card packs like sports cards. Complete with wax wrappers. I collected these as a child and miss them still. I'd so love to get these back. If your selling them...
