the state of california has laws regarding the return of consumer goods!

Why does not eBay just make a reference to said laws, summarize them, and place them in the policies for sellers and buyers.

The policy must be displayed either at each entrance to the store, at each cash register and sales counter, on tags attached to each item, or on the company's order forms, if any. A return policy printed only on a receipt, for example, is not sufficient.

If a store violates this law (California Civil Code section 1723), the purchaser can return an item for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.

there you go , folks, there it is in writing from the Ca. Attorney General

So basically, I do believe you must display in your listing , in at least large font, that there are no refunds,

Because the point of sale is not in Cali. Its where the customers lives. Cali laws has nothing to do with a sale unless the buyer lives in Cali.

Ah, but, you see, eBay is a California Company and THEY have to follow California Laws.

"Law and Forum for Legal Disputes - This Agreement shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the State of California as they apply to agreements entered into and to be performed entirely within California between California residents, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
