Once a seller qualifies as a Top Rated Seller and/or Powerseller, how often will their account be evaluated to determine continued eligibility? In other words, will the same process currently in place for Powersellers apply (ie evaluation every 30 days and warnings before Powerseller status is removed)?

Hello thebrewsnews,

Top rated Seller and PowerSeller performance is evaluated around the 20th of each month. So, for example, the calculation on July 20th will include DSRs for all transactions in the months of April, May and June.

Sellers who fall below the new minimum standard for all sellers would have their status changed immediately upon falling below the minimum threshold – even if this occurs prior to the 20th of each month.

Sellers can see how they are trending to meet the requirements on their seller dashboard at any time.

The evaluation for the current PS discounts (based on minimum DSR) will continue to work as it does today, until April 2010.

So, if I understand you correctly --

financial performance review (ie number of units sold, dollar amount of sales) will occur on the 20th of each month

but

seller performance (specifically DSR ratings) review will occur in real time

so that

Top Rated Sellers / Powersellers will lose status immediately upon falling below seller performance requirements but would receive warning before losing status if the financial performance requirements fall below acceptable levels on the 20th of the month

Is that correct? If not, could you please clarifiy?

Hi thebrewsnews,

Let me clarify -

The first step in the process is to determine if a seller is eligible for the PowerSeller program. If they have sufficient volume and meet the 4.6 minimum DSR requirement, they are eligible.

Then we look at a seller's low DSR count to determine if they are eligible for the Top rated seller program. This also occurs on the 20th.

If at any time a seller declines rapidly in performance we may remove them from the program prior to the standard evaluation on the 20th.

Let me ask this...

When these new DSR guidelines kick in, will they immediately be retoactive for the previous 90 days (i.e., on April 20th, 2010, will the 90 day DSR calculation be based on all DSR's received from Jan 20th - April 20th)?

or

Will the 90 day DSR calculation begin on April 20th, 2010, and begin to reflect (and affect) a sellers status 90 days later, on, or about, July 20th, 2010?

The answer may sound obvious to some, but I've learned the hard way to clarify each and every detail, no matter how obvious they may seem.
