Will eBay educate BUYERS on the new DSR System ?

What plans does eBay have to educate the Buyers on the new DSR ratings system ?

Is there any system in place to identify Buyers that consistently leave poor DSR ratings no matter how stellar the seller might be? If not, how does eBay plan to protect a seller from buyers with a history of such behavior?

Thanks!

Ken,

We are not changing the DSR system - there is inline information for buyers who want to get information on DSRs - it's relatively straightforward, it's a standard 1-5 system. In addition we highlighting when the seller offered free shipping and increasing our messaging when the item arrived in the time committed by the seller.

To answer your other question, we currently have reports that identify abusive buyers and we take action from warning to suspension. Thanks Brian

How can it be a straightforward system when ebay tells a customer that a 4 star rating is good and punishes us for a 4 star rating?

NOT ONLY THAT, HOW CAN YOU LEAVE IT UP TO A BUYER TO RATE YOU ON FREE SHIPPING ON SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGES

I MEAN REALLY EBAY?

Whats your reason for not giving automatic 5 stars or leave it blanked out.

I mean cmon

The question is simply

1. What is the Shipping and Handling Charges

The answer is ZERO $0.00 aka FREE

So how is this NOT 5 stars for Shipping and Handling Charges when it's 0.00

The question is NOT: What is the Shipping and Handling Charges (go ahead and judge seller on whether or not he/she added the costs into the starting price, etc. )

Thanks Brian for the reply !

I worded my question poorly so I will rephrase it.

Since the DSR system will now play an even more important role, what measures are being taken by eBay to make sure Buyers are properly educated on the DSR system.

Most of the complaints I hear from sellers concerning DSRs start with the conflicting information that is provided to Buyers from eBay.

Have a GREAT DAY !

It seems eBay is not interested in being fair or requiring buyers to be fair. So a buyer can give a low star for free shipping. A buyer can give a low star for shipping within a 24 hour period. A buyer can give a low star for failing to read the description or look at the photographs and then blame the seller. After all, the lower the stars the less eBay loses in discounts paid to sellers. eBay is only interested in making money and they realize sellers will jump through hoops to satisfy customers. This system has sellers jumping, buyers allowed to be unfair, and eBay maximizing profits.
