Nearly 99.9999% of my transactions, both US bound and international (60% of my sales), involve shipping "flats" (5x8 bubble envelopes) to the buyer. Out of 1100+ sent so far I've only had a few flats get lost in the mail.

I use USPS First Class to minimize expenses and customs forms. However, USPs First Class, even with a customs form, does not provide 'tracking information'.

Will the use of USPS First Class 'penalize' my search standings with respect to other buyers who use delivery method that have tracking?

i refuse to sell to international sellers who are not willing to pay the priority post cost that includes tracking. they ask for first class, but since you can't prove it was delivered, i would not take the chance on it. so....since i offer free USA shipping, i offer a $5 discount to international buyers on the cost of a flat rate product that comes with tracking. no other companies will ship first class with no tracking, so don't let buyers bully you. it isn't worth the few cents profit!

when ebay hands you lemons....make lemonade
