Help I.D. King like figure on antique bronze nut cracker

Any of my fellow Ebayers recognize the figure on this nut cracker, he looks like a sitting King or Court Jester ?? This is one of the nicest bronze nut crackers I have seen and hope the figure might be a character from a child's fable or story book ?? There are no markings and the quality is very good and looks like early 20th century? Any information on this item as always will be much appreciated. Thanks

Been away for the 4th, but all I can say is - AMAZING , Who knew there was a nut cracker museum. THANKS AGAIN , I think if you were able to track down this little brass nut cracker you could most likley find BIG FOOT too. At least now I have a name for him when I list it this week. Joe..
