I HAD to spend money at a charity event today. Anything here of interest?

Nov 25, 2009 4:39 PM
Local school thing. I knew I was going and knew I would spend money. The pickings were very slim. I bid on and won these. 3 cups and saucers each marked differently on the bottom 2 with crossed arrows (Arnart?)one with numbers only. 2 lily vases both marked "MA". 1 little poppy cup marked "Italy"

If it looks like something other than junque, I'll post on PGP.

The MA signed pieces are home hobbyist, the ones with the numbers are Japan exports (late 20th century), Yes, the one with arrows is Arnart import.

Thanks MD. The lilies were described as French. I'm not sure they are home hobby but then again, I know nothing.
I forgot my best purchase. This pot:

Yes. Thanks again MD. I just found that. I wonder if the art work helps or hurts the item. It's strange that it's even there. :D

It doesn't look like a really old one, and the lid's missing. I'd say it's a wash. Those crocks don't sell for much these days, so the painting might actually help.

Oh well! Into the yard with that one. I'll use it as a planter. Thanks!
