Barbecues anyone??? or what are you doing this weekend??

I really wish I had made plans to go the mountains or something with family, but Dave and Steph are going to the Phillies game tomorrow night. I didn't want a ticket....I need a date?? anyone?

Decided to go see the Fireworks and Sheryl Crown tonight at the Art Museum....

Everyone sounds like they are having a nice weekend

We had some lobsters at Booth Bay, I never before knew what Lobster..er um doooooo liked like...until then....LOL. They sell Lobster Doooo in a candy shop..of course its sugar..LOL

yesterday was our FIRST super hot day

I went out on the back porch and felt that heat--- already 58 degrees just at 9 in the morning and I new we would have a scorcher--- yes 91 degrees at 5PM

5PM is the hottest part of the day west and east of the mountains here and we have daylight till 10

Today pretty hot but maybe only 85

still with the frezzing night smy house stay plenty cool --- right now its 74 inside and I have the ventilation open but no energy cost since I set heat pump air conditioning on 77--- its 85 outside ya know

This is High Desert

So far, two barbeques...Shrimp on Friday night, yesterday evening buffalo burgers and corn, tonight...who knows!

But the weather here is absolutley perfect!!! Not too hot, and partly sunny!

Lori!! Zach and his girlfriend went to the Roots/Cheryl Crow concert and Fireworks display last night!!! They did it on the spur of the moment, and said they got pretty darn close to the stage! (Considering that they didn't leave Broomall until nearly 8 pm, they really lucked out!

We watched it on TV...We had been working in the yard, and in the house all day and were too tired to make the trek. I couldn't see fighting the traffic, and hauling butt 20 blocks down the Ben Franklin Parkway...Apparently, the kids found a parking place around 23rd St, so they didn't have to walk far.

Since we have had so much rain, we are barbequing every night possible!

And we actually ate our dinner outside last night. We have a nice big front porch, with a picnic table. Lovely evening...

Nan !!! Sounds like you had a really nice weekend !! I'm ready to move, but with DD in school well..that sorta blows that idea. I want a nice backyard to sit out in..Tired of concrete at home. That is why I love going to work...Its another world!

Well, I didn't go because I thought twice about all the walking and wasn't sure I could do it..LOL So Dave and I stayed home, but Steph went there with a friend...They left around 8:30...Didn't get as lucky as Zack and his girlfriend!!

So, Dave and I totally enjoyed the concert on t.v. too !

LOL, my DH - the South Philly Guy - wants to move back into Philly for our retirement! He's thinking of the neighborhood called the Piazza?

Too much green stuff around here for him...he needs more concrete...
