FINISHED Reading Harry Potter?

Jun 26, 2003 12:28 PM
Note: If this thread gets off the ground, there are likely to be SPOILERS in here so don't read if you don't want to know what happened in the book!

Well, I stayed up until 1:30 a.m. last night to finish Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - it was so good!

Anyone else finished with it yet...??? what did you think?!

I'm glad it didn't have quite the unfinished ending as Book IV, now waiting for the next book won't be quite so annoying... but I know it will be a l-o-n-g wait!

Anyway... what are your thoughts on it???

Hey All~
Had my scrappin' weekend this past weekend. From Friday to Sunday, I scrapped pretty much non-stop! They provided our meals and had a massage therapist there who could rejuvinate sore backs from bending over our work. :) It was great - got 31 pages done - I'm working on a family Christmas album so I scrapped the Christmas pictures from 2001-2003. Thought by sticking with one theme, I would be able to consolidate my stuff and take less... but I still took 7 scrap bags and one pop-up 4ft table!!! I got a lot of scrappin' stuff!!

Christmas 2001. That was a year without young'uns, wasn't it? One of these days you'll be all caught up.

Tonks, are you going to build you and Lupin a house with all those 2 x 4's?

Jean, I think this will lead to the opening page of Let's Be Skinny.

Link

From there you have to submit a line or two about why you want to join. Before tomorrow one of the moderators should email you back with a link that will get you in. It sounds complicated but isn't.

Mags can get you a link to her old group, too. There's nothing much going on there, but there are lots of inspirational and informative posts, some with links to things like calorie calculators.

What I've done is started a notebook, a *new* Trapper Keeper with the dividers. When somebody on either group posts something I want to remember, I copy it to a file and print it out. That way I've got no excuses. Exercises, recipes, little essays about being fat or being thin.... they are all right there, for instant inspiration. Since the middle of February, I've lost 7 pounds. Previously, I lost 7 pounds in a whole year. That's the difference between saying and doing.

Actually, I'm thinking about closing down Diet World and joining Let's Get Skinny b/c I've only gained weight - not lost. I'm not a very good task master for other people if I can't get myself motivated!!!

Mags, give Diet World another month. There's some links I'd like to save. Jules might be back after tax time is over, and more people might drop back in when the weather warms up. Eeeeek, bathing suits and shorts! Panic time!

Mouth is still sore.

It's obvious that the Toad has hopped off with Snape, probably leaving Mr. Trevor frozen in front of the tv with an immobilization spell. Although if he's going to be frozen for a while, sitting in the bathroom might have been a better choice.

Next question is, where would they have gone first? Snape pursued by people wanting his hide for his behavior in the last book, and the Toad itching for a trip to Britain or a warm place....

They'd better stay away from the mountains, I hear the Giants are hanging around.

Taking Vitamin E is supposed to help any sort of sore, too.

The dentist said to swish with salt water and then with peroxide. NASTY. But it seems to be helping. I upped my vitamin C, will add E just for the heck of it--can't hurt, might help. Actually they ARE getting better, it just takes freakin' forever for these to heal. I've had them in the front of my mouth before, but never in the back like this. I have to use a freakin' flashlight to put the benzocain numbstuff on it before I eat---that stuff IS amazing. LOL!

This all started with a popcorn hull. I was sitting in the TV room last night, watching the news and doing a sudoku puzzle, and hubby brings in a steaming bowl of hot buttered popcorn. Grrrr. I did not eat any. :(
