Has anyone read Stephen King's Insomnia? I have read several reviews, and many say that if you have not read his Dark Tower series, you will not understand the ending .I would like to read it, but I don't want to read an 600 page book and have no clue as to what happened when I finish it.

You're probably not around to read this but Insomnia is not part of the Dark Tower series.  It's a novel all by itself. It is an excellent read

Yep, one of King's very best and when you finish you will wish it was even longer.  The ending is not connected to the Dark Tower as far as I remember it.

I read this way back in '97 and was extraordinarily disappointed.  It was one of those books that didn't start to get good until around page 475.  Not King's worst, though (that would be The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon).

Currently reading Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill (Stephen's son) and liking it quite a bit.
