Hi Vadulka:

I don't know where you are located and machinery can get more expensive to ship than to buy. I am in Texas. I have a machine and welding shop and if you are looking to buy I have 2 Warner Swassey turret lathes I would like to sell as well as an old OBI Johnson Press Ironworker. I might even cut loose with several other pieces as in my neck of the woods business has gone to pot. The oilfield has move North and East and what I don't plan to sell will do me just fine.

Hi Everyone,

I think those of you interested in metalworking should look into cryogenically treated drill bits. They remain sharp up to 10x longer, made with high-speed steal. Search my store for drill bits and you'll see them made by GoldEdge Steel Solutions.

Peace Friends.

The process you are referring to is called "swedging". Flaring is a process used to shape a tube to mate with a fitting with a sleeve and nut such as brake lines and hydraulic lines. The swedging tool I have used in the industry was a swedging die placed over a tapered shaft which was hydraulic actuated. The tube was placed over the die and expanded to form the tube to a larger diameter as the tapered shaft expanded the die. Hope this helps.

Ebay helps buyers and sellers deal with the two major issues of traditional auctions: shilling and buyers who don't pay for items they won. Recently, buyers and sellers of industrial equipment have accepted "online only" auctions, especially when they have the opportunity to inspect equipment prior to the sale. Why doesn't ebay pursue the live online auction market, by helping users run their own online auctions? The large number of industrial auctions and a share of the 13-17% buyer's premium typical at these sales should be sufficient incentive to develop this market.

We started Lean Manufacturing and have a red tag area where anything not needed in the Plant goes. All departments look at the tagged items if no one wants them we are going to sell them on ebay. We cast, trim, machine aluminum and magnesium.

1) What should we consider before choosing a user name?

2) Should we always make shipping the responsibility of the buyer?
3) Should we accept PayPal only? Why or Why not.

4) Any tips?

CINCINNATI MILICRON SABRE 500 VERTICAL MACHINING CENTER - Sounds like the bearings are shot on the spindle. We have been getting spindle overload overtravel faults, now the bearings are making hella noise.

Is this a factory only service? - is there a good service manuel available?

I recently started working for this guy with a lil shop - he bought the machine from a previous employer - and can't find decent service and repair in DENVER for crying out loud.

Thanks to all that can assist!.

Currently I have UHMW and acetal; in the new year I will be expanding inventory in these categories and adding Nylon, HDPE, Teflon, and whatever else is in that huge palett box I just got.
