Look into Quickbooks, easy to use and there are many guides and classes available.

I am an office manager/bookkeeper and that's what I did most of my career. I started out in 1967 doing things the old fashioned way - handwritten ledgers. I've worked in private businesses and for a Town and I have used several options. I recently became a Guardian for an elderly relative with dementia and have to provide good records for the Probate Court. There may be other systems out there, but I've been using Quicken and I love it. I just turned in my first annual report and it was very complex. Quicken made it easy to give the Court exactly the information they needed. It isn't that expensive. I got mine at our nearby Staples.

My CPA can work with Quickbooks or Peachtree but she likes Peachtree better. She told me to sign up for the high school adult education class on bookkeeping so I wouldn't mess things up as much, and it did help.
