I am a seller and ebay bucks are not offered on my listings. I logged into my personal account and went to a few of my listing to be sure and nothing shows up. My listings should qualify. Am I missing something?

Dear oneromiworldwide

Checking the eBay Bucks information from another account than your own seller account is the right first step.

Make sure you look on the item detail page, not on a search results page. Also please double check if the account you are using is enrolled in the Bucks program.

I just checked myself and see the eBay Bucks information on your listings, so everything is fine for the buyers!

Gentlepeople,

I am a very new user of eBay, and a Beta tester of the eBay Bucks program. A part of (Beta) testing of any kind is working out the bugs in the program so that when it is opened to a wider audience it will not destroy the very object that it is intended to enhance. I signed on to eBay as I needed to make MANY small purchases in a short period of time to get an activity going. This worked into the need for eBay to have many transactions to watch for glitches. There were some changes made during the Beta period as a result of the testing to make sure that eBay users would be able to securely use the program and continue their enjoyment of the service.

By opening it to the U.S. it is in the next step of the program. I am sure eBay has made sure that the program meets all the requirements of the U.S. Government before implementing even the Beta test.

For sellers interested in seeing if their merchandise has eBay Bucks.
I found out that as I was with a friend at his home using his network with my computer and logged on as me that I could not see eBay bucks on his items even though I know they are there from my home. I believe that as I was on his I.P. address at the time, it may have restricted the view to the eBay Bucks. To view your items for eBay Bucks may require logging in on your buying account from another location (I.P. Address).

Great program. Well thought out. The eBay Bucks team has been great to work with.

I hear ya! I buy a TON of stuff here each week for 10 years now, yet never even knew that there was such a rewards program until I got an e-mial on Tuesday from eBay!

I lost out on a bunch of rewards money since I hadn't signed up until now.

I have this "selling" ID that I haven't used in quite a while for listing, and a "buying" ID. I've had numerous emails offering eBay Bucks on this ID, but could never get a response as to why no offer on the ID where I spend a lot of money every month.

I'm sure the offer wasn't made because I was a Powerseller or VIP, as I don't qualify for either. Knowing there were eBay Bucks out there but I didn't get any for the purchases I've made never seemed fair. I wish someone could explain how eBay chose who did, or didn't get them over the past year or so.

I love this program I was able to sign up when it first came out. This makes shopping on Ebay worthwhile. Since I buy a lot of stuff for friends and family online I am able to get money for stuff I want too. Hopefully they keep this program for ever.

I just signed up for this, which is great, but I made a lot of purchases this July of 2010. Just a couple of weeks before I found out about this ebay bucks program. Is it possible to grandfather that by two or three weeks? Just wondering. I am not looking to get something for nothing, it just makes sense to ask in case it is stated somewhere and I haven't found it yet. Thanks:)

Dear aggie_seabee,
you'll start earning eBay Bucks the moment you enroll. Unfortunately we cannot retroactively grant eBay Bucks for purchases made prior to joining the program... I hope you'll understand. Have a great weekend!

invitations to participate in the BETA test were extended purely based on random sampling.

Dear philjp6613,
eBay Bucks are only shown to enrolled members. As a guest you aren't enrolled in the program, so you won't see eBay Bucks on your own items.

You guys need to quit making up dumb stuff and just let people do business. You seem to think people are working for you. Think again, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING FOR THEM. We don't need your stupid ebay bucks, paypal, or your out of country support system for paypal. EMPLOY AMERICAN'S................POST YOUR SUPPORT NUMBER, IF YOU GUYS ARE FEELING LIKE DOING SOMETHING POSITIVE.

Wow! Thanks ebay for giving buyers a CREDIIT. We sellers supply this credit for them when we pay so much in paypal fees. Once again, freebee for the buyers!

This change can cause hospitality between sellers and buyers as can be seen.

I love the ebay bucks program, in one week I already have $82! I'm going to max out my ebay bucks way before the 50 days expires :) It's great and unexpected to be getting free money like that.
While I feel this is fabulous, I only have one concern: why would ebay do this huge outlay for their buyers? Is this program going to be around for long? This is going to cost ebay so much money out of pocket - I mean $250 (or whatever is the limit) every 3 months for a each high volume buyer? Granted, I buy a lot on ebay but surely others do too.
I would be interested to know the statistics of buyers on ebay - how many are actually doing this much buying? Is this program intended to increase the number of sales or promote a more positive image of ebay? Just curious. It seems extremely generous.

How many days do I have to wait to be included in the program?

Thanks.

It shouldn't -- the program benefits sellers as well as buyers.
Our job as a marketplace is to create demand for sellers on the platform. By rewarding buyers with eBay Bucks, we give them another compelling reason to buy from these sellers. And once it is time to redeem, sellers will also be on the receiving side of all those eBay Bucks we are giving out.

You do not need to wait to be included. Please refer to the FAQ for information on how to enroll in the program and how it works!

Hey,

I've enrolled for the ebay Bucks, and have already earned some too. I think this is a great program! Anyway, when I went onto ebay today, none of the items I visit show that I can earn ebay bucks. Its a valid product too, just seems like its been turned 'off' today. Is the program not working today or something like that??

Hello mlcc01

Thank you a lot for reporting the issue:
We've had a technical problem on the item detail pages for a couple of hours today, but it should be resolved now for all users.

Please note that only the display was affected but not the earning functionality - so no eBay Bucks were lost due to this problem.

Hello again,

Honestly, I think you did not read my other comments here.

You are not allowing me to participate in the program:
"Oops! You can't enroll in eBay Bucks."

The question is: Why deny participation to people who are part of the family of eBay/Paypal?

I hope this comment will not be ignored, as the previous.

Thank you.

Hello luis7849 Apologies if my previous reply was unclear. The criteria for being eligible are all laid out in the FAQ. Please understand that these rules - like any rules - may not seem perfect for everyone in 100% of all situations. As the eBay Bucks program is currently available for the US only - not worldwide - there must be some limitations and some form of a check during signup. You are right - and we recognize - that the enrollment error message you received is not a great way of giving feedback, so we're working on enhanced messaging. But this does not change the fact that some will not be able to benefit from eBay Bucks at this point in time, unfortunately. Frank eBay Bucks team

I understand your point, but I think eBay will lose money. Why?

Many eBay sellers have their website, and are offering discount of 2% to 60%.
For example:

Where do you think people will buy?

If you offer 2%, the least you can do is offer the discount to everyone.

I think my idea makes sense.

Thanks for responding.

Thanks Doc,

I have been on the phone for over an hour...talked to Ebay ...they sent me to Paypal....who sent me back to Ebay....
Finally I found out that I couldn't see it on my own listing. Signed out and went to my listing and still did not see it. Only members who are signed on and enrolled can see the Ebay Bucks Logo. DUH!
Wish Ebay explained that when signing up or when listing your items.
Thanks for letting us know.
