question about 'kosher' questions for board

Hi -

Assuming I'm not the only one who looks at other poster's feedback, and is equally as nosey about what they've bought: is it ok to ask other posters about what they've bought?

I saw something someone else bought where the seller has multiples and it's something I like. Is it ok to post on the board asking the buyer how something has held up?

It is not really considered good manners to do so, unless a poster's bidding history directly pertains to their post.

For example, if a Poster claims they are flat broke,lost their job, have a sick dog and can't afford to pay for an auction bid, yet their bidding history says other wise.:^O Then it is open season on one's bidding history;)

You could try asking the poster via Ebay Message system Off the board.

Some Ebayers may take offence, will not answer, could even report you for spam.

Then some posters could care less and would be happy to give their opinion of the item.

You can always make a mini, tiny hijack and say James can I mssg you? Or something. I'm okay with that but some people aren't, or would appreciate a heads-up that a mssg is coming at least.

aly - I'm probably having salad & leftover spaghetti, no meat.

And no dining table, you'd better be able to balance a pie-plate while sitting in a butterfly chair.

Ya know...you're right. Come to think of it, I can't remember the last time we actually sat at the table for a meal because the hassle of clearing all the stuff off just wasn't worth it.

We're good about keeping the cats off, though. They were trained squirt bottle style.

Deal, Barri! Now I just have to coerce my (very talented chef of a) husband to make the chicken.

Ohh! I can bring Highway Bob over for a play date! Maybe hanging around some outdoor kittehs for a while will show him he's not as invincible as he thinks...which will, in turn, teach him to stop being a kitteh bully to my senior indoor kittehs...

Did that make sense? Chicken Parmesean for everybody!

Wow, never would guessed it was ME she wanted to contact!

I read this thread this morning and thought whoever posted it was being very gracious and considerate.

She was and is just as sweet as possible.

It's wonderful to have positive experiences here. Much of the time we come here to post about problems or complaints, this was a pleasant chat.

One of mine sits on the diningroom table to watch Kitty TV (birds,squirrels,leaves) in the picture window!:_|

Never mind, the other 30 windows in the house, that one is his favoriteX-(

Just holding the squirt bottle is enough to make him run if caught, no water needed. :^O]:)
