I won this auction, paid for it but the next day seller contacted me

about problems with his PP account.  He gave me a full refund on the original PP transaction but request I send funds to a different PP account.  Told me already sent out the phone.  I did not however send any funds to the new PP account.  Never got any tracking # and never heard from him/her again.  Haven't seen the phone either.:^O

Yeah that does sound suspicious. This alternative paypal account is likely not linked to his eBay account. Chances are very good that your money is not protected should you have chosen to to pay via his new terms.

 

Imagine you don't receive the item and decide to file a dispute. All he has to do is show eBay that he refunded you in full via his original PayPal account. It stinks of a scam to me.
