At least 7 dead, 12 wounded.

1 person in custody, at least 1 person on the run if not 2.

Wounded count now up to 20. :(

Our military personnel shouldn't have to face this fate when they're not deployed to a war zone.

CNN says 12 dead and 31 wounded now. :(

One shooter is dead, another two suspects have been captured. The base and nine schools have been locked down.

12 confirmed dead.

One shooter was killed and 2 people are in custody and being questioned. All 3 are military personnel.

We live in such a dangerous society anymore.

I think most bases are on lock down. I was going to head on base tonight and I saw the back up to get on base and decided I really don't need to visit the BX.

Soldier killed by a civilian police officer.

Not making a whole lot of sense.
They keep saying that there were "others" and they have 2 handguns found.

The whole thing is weird.

Oh it was 3 soldiers. Possibly 4.

Fort Hood is home to the Warrior Combat Stress Reset Program, which is designed to help soldiers overcome combat stress issues.

Civilian police officers guard the gates on bases/posts. It's contracted out.

If a call goes out civilian police officers would respond.

This is horrible!

So they have confirmed the shooters were military members? I had read where they were wearing uniforms but anyone can get those.

One soldier is dead. 2 more in custody.
Was done in the deployment center where they go for the pre deployment screenings.

They think there was another who knew about it.

So they have confirmed the shooters were military members? I had read where they were wearing uniforms but anyone can get those.

There was a press conference just before 5 and the Commander said that the shooter was in the military and the 2 that they have in custody are suspects and they are soldiers as well.
