Hi Everyone, As we announced earlier today, eBay rolled out a number of exciting changes in the Clothing, Shoes and Accessories (CSA) category to make eBay the ultimate shopping destination for fashion online. These changes will help buyers navigate and discover fashion categories, better showcase fashion items from our sellers, highlight the breadth of styles and brands on eBay and bring more buyers to the category overall. Today’s CSA announcement can be found on eBay’s Announcement Board. We encourage everyone to experience the new Clothing, Shoes and Accessories shopping experience at fashion.ebay.com. Sellers can find more details here regarding eBay’s fashion makeover and maximizing sales. We are interested in hearing your questions and feedback on the changes to the Clothing, Shoes and Accessories category. eBay staff will be available throughout the week to respond to your questions. Thank you, Tilden B. Clothing, Shoes and Accessories

If all the small sellers would transfer there items over to another auction site then perhaps that site would get more shoppers and become better than ebay? Just a thought....

I feel the same way about not being able to have the clothing in sizes that are easily accessible AND I am so disgusted with the SUMMARY in My Ebay. I cannot even find the items I have purchased. I feel a summary page should be exactly the way it used to be.....a summary of all activity without having to search for it. Buy, Selling and Sold Thanks for letting me vent my frustration

One thing that I would recommend is that ebay recognize that ignored category between Misses and Plus...Women's sizing.

Many manufacturers (ie Sag Harbor, Chicos, Coldwater Creek to name just a few) embrace oversizing, yet many gals that shop on ebay are not familiar with brands that do this leaving we sellers in a dilemna and buyers missing out on some lovely clothing.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to express this frustration.

Hi!

There's a Women's Handbag Finder function.
The picture shows two(same designer?) handbags: Wooden handled w/ fabric bodies, the front one is orange w/ blue (?tree) on it. any idea of the make/model?

Thanks!

No one likes changes. However, that doesn't bother me half as much as what seems to be the norm on clothing sellers now. I have tried with two different sellers to get a bust size for some of the items they are offering and you would think I was asking a stupid question. I also asked them to suggest the right size for the item when they had multiple listings of the same thing. 4 auctions ended before I could get any kind of reply and I am not sure they will fit. The second one said they don't do that and to go look on a manufacturers size chart. I spent an hour looking for the size chart before I finally gave up. WHAT IS UP WITH THIS??????? It is extremely frustrating! I have 100% rating, buy multiple items at one time, and pay immediately through paypal. I have kept my part of being an Ebay buyer the best I know how. Ebay either needs to set up some kind of policy or tell these people to move out. One of these guys was huge with multiple ID's that all ran back to the same name. If anyone know where to find the size charts for 22w 24w for Jkara please let me know.

I have been taking almost daily screen shots of the fashion vault stylepremium seller feedback, they stopped removing it in a huge chunks but now remove one to two a day, maybe more since I don't check it every 15 minutes, mostly in the morning and at night.
I don't have an issue with them promoting the store on front page, my issue is it is promoted as a trusted seller. And it is not... It is a fraudulent account with fake and misleading feedback and so it is actually stealing from people who make a purchase that rely on the feedback system to determine if they want to buy or not buy from that seller. And removing 100's of neg feedback from the sellers permanent record is just not really trustworthy. I think it is very bad business practice and according to ebays feedback policy not even legal what they are doing.
The problem with reporting it to the media is ebay already has such neg feedback in blogs and the media it would be removing more buyers that might be buying my items.
Sellers basically make the reputation of eBay, most are good, some are fraudulent, but when eBay is the fraudulent one, how can anyone maintain a good honest business while doing business of either buying or selling from the leader of fraud?
I am positive that I am not the only one taking daily screen shots and also positive that it has been written about on blogs as well.. It is and greed that can and will wreak a good business as that is when dishonest business starts taking place..

I asked eBay about the poor feedback for Fashion Vault and the reply was that if it continued, they would be sanctioned. Hmmmm...sanctioned by being made a feature?

Hope eBay is paying attention to the feedback from the OP's questions...none of it is good.

The fouled search that came out is responsible for the dismal sales in May. Check out seller central for the post about no sales for 5 straight days.

Well said Tippi and it is what I have thought from the beginning! It only makes sense from a business prospective to get rid of the sellers that they deem "not worthy" and keep a limited few a long with the Fashion Vault. In the meantime they can continue to make money from all the sellers and give them tidbits to keep em going. What better business sense does that make! Oh and modish expect it to continue to fall since I am sure it will and no they won't answer for it or change it because they can't. They have no honest answer! On the other-hand this is something that can be brought before the court or media since eBay is considered to be a large enterprise and they are using a fraudulent practice by having their Fashion Vault as featured with the FB rating! Hhmm better hurry and put a fix to it eBay considering I am sure that the media would LOVE to hear about how you honestly feel about your sellers and customers oh and also how you feature YOUR store first. You never know some reporter could easily come right on in and get the juicy details!

Thank you for your comment. I'm interested.

Because of the various styles of pants today, many sellers use the "rise" measurement to convey where the pants will (approximately) fit. For example, a rise of 8 inches, measured from the seam at the crotch to the top of the front waistband, will sit very low on the waist. A rise of 10 or 11 inches usually will fit at approximately the waist.

Because of Ebay's stringent feedback system, saying something like, "pants are meant to sit at the waist" is risky for a seller because if it doesn't sit at the waist, the seller has opened herself up for a possible dispute.

Why don't you measure a pair of pants of your own that fit just how you like? Then you can compare that measurement to the rise you see in the listings. Most sellers include that measurement, if not, you can simply ask, now that you know that it's the "rise" that you need.

Thank you for your feedback.

I would like to see a better description of the waist sizes in women,s pants.
I never see a description that states:

"sits on the waist",
"sits below the waist",
"low riders".

I think it's important to know where the waistline fits on a pair of pants.
I prefer my pants to sit on the waist. I know that is not the style for most women but many mature women still prefer "on the waist pants" but have problems finding them.

Re: ITEM SPECIFIC

Hi,
Can anyone tell me why, in the ITEM SPECIFIC area that you can't 'remove' or 'add your own item specific? It's very frustrating. I have had a problem with this for about 3 days now. I literally have to go and start from scratch if I want to change something in there. And yes, I have deleted my cookies and temporary internet files. Still doesn't work.
Thanks for any help,
pattern-lady

the writing is on the wall.

this is ebays way of handing out pink slips.

make it imposible to sell here, and in droves, the small sellers will pull up stacks.

THAT IS WHAT EBAY WANTS.

its foulish to think any other way. every single thing they implement, is to drive us out of business.

we are recieiving PINK SLIPS by the back door.
