Found bobal's discussion under the vintage needlework discussion board. It's been posted under other boards also. Hope this helps

To post photos to the board, you need to have them uploaded to your own server (if they give you space) or a host in order to get the url (address) needed to post.
Here are some Image Hosting Sites

When you have the url, add it to the board using some HTML like this,

Here is a sample.

Kislanya--
Posting photos is easy, because I learned to do it! First you need a picture host. Ebay's probably works for Ebay auctions only. Fear not, there are still free sites such as VillagePhotos. Make sure the picture on your hardrive is in a file you can easily find. Sign up and log on with your picture host--after that, it is pretty much click here, click there. One of the clicks says something like Copy URL to Clipboard. Do it. Then come back here, go to the typing box and type in

then paste the URL from your hosted picture

then type

>

It should look like this

mind tip--"img src=" stands for "Image Source Is"

That didn't turn out so hot. There is no space between src and the =, and no space between the = and the http.

dalamo, your heart's in the right place, but cutting and pasting html codes on html-enabled pages will give some unusual results.

I just posted my first photo on this discussion board, after getting help from people here. This board is WONDERFUL! However, it took me two days to figure out how to upload my pics to my new host site (villagephotos.com). I kept getting an error message that my files were too large.....I finally figured out how to solve that problem.

Maybe it will come naturally after doing it several times, but I find it very difficult right now! I'm sure it will get easier, and I have to say that I would still be trying to figure it out, if not for the help of this wonderful, helpful board!

THANKS!!!!!!!
