Hello and welcome!

This is a special thread dedicated to all of you who love collecting Advertising Collectibles. We hope this dedicated little corner will give you a way to more easily meet others in the community that share your interests.

So come on in and make yourself at home! Tell us about your collections of advertising collectibles, your first piece, your favorite piece, your favorite eBay find--share share share! DAPHNE...Thanks for beginning this Thread...:^)
I am willing to offer my assistance to peeps with questions concerning Advertising Collectibles. Although I am primarily a Bottle Collector and have been since 1972,I have some varied knowledge, assorted price guides,& reference books on different aspects of the Hobby.I hope in time,we will have several regulars experienced in different aspects of this Thread, that will offer their knowledge and assistance here. I will check the Thread on a Daily basis ,(hopefully),for any comments or queries.Good luck in the Hobby and Happy Collecting !!!

Do you happen to have any pics of your collection you would want to share? I'd love to see some. I don't know anything about bottle collecting... what's your favorite item?

Hi Whiskeyman and Daphne - glad to see this thread. I'm not really a collector - yet - but I'm interested. I just picked up a Jim Bean bottle made for the 1974 National Convention of Bowling Proprietors Association of American in Lake Tahoe. Is that considered an advertising collectible? It was just too funky to pass up! I figure someone named Whiskeyman has to be the person to ask...

DAPHNE....for Bottle info and pics of some of my favorite bottles,check out my ME page.There are also two links there...one to my bottle club and one to assorted sites on antique bottles and the hobby.
ERINELISE2....at one time Jim Beam bottles were extremely popular,but like Avon bottles they plumetted. Most can be bought for 5-25.00. There is a national organisation.... snail mail them at:
National Jim Beam Bottle & Spec.Club...5005 Cochran Ave....Oakland,CA.94618....there are also a few States with Jim Beam Clubs,you can get that info from the National Org...welcome to the Hobby of Bottle Collecting !!!

GOOD MORNING !!



Just wanted to stop by and offer anything I can for this board. I've been a big fan of advertising collectibles for years. I don't have much in the way of books for specific information but maybe able to offer some experience in selling them and what to look for.


Presently I'm not selling. (Trying to organize the things I've been lax on for the past 5 years) but plan on starting up in September.


Anyway I'll keep an eye on this board......Earl
