I keep seeing chatter about class action lawsuits...

Class action lawsuits are worthless. Lawyers jump on those as fast as they can because they get the most $ from them.

An example of why it's worthless - take a look at the more recent lawsuit with an american credit card express company - lawyers got millions and the final pay out to people? About 67 cents. My father laughed after handing over his affidavit and records just to get that measily 67 cents.

If you ever see a class action lawsuit that you have interest in to go against the company - make sure you send in your notice that you as an affected consumer do not wish to participate in the class action lawsuit but prefer to take actions on your own behalf.

Isn't it ironic that eBay wants to tell you how to use the telphone to solve transaction problems but won't bother to provide the same service to their "customers"?

I guess it's, "do as I say, not as I do"

All those phone numbers you have listed only lead you to a long wait or numbers that have already been changed. You are right in stating that Ebay DOES NOT CARE. They don't give a rats A-- about the buyers or sellers here. They DO NOT follow through on giving you back funds that they say you are entitled to. They do not respond in a timely fashion or at all to your emails voicing concerns when the chips get REALLY DOWN.

There are a good number of honest, trustworthy sellers with integrity. There are too MANY sellers WITH NONE.

Example...I mistakenly ticked positive for this seller tricia-micklovely who sells items using the word "Estate" to decribe a ring she sells over and over again. Also sells items described as Tanzanite but when you get it is fownd to be Lolite. Ebay does not respond to these complaints of fraud and more buyers get duped. She makes thousands selling her junk and Ebay does nothing. She refuses refunds when she is found out.

Ebay has not come through with a refund to me through their "Standard Purchase Protection Program" that I have waited months for and does not respond to my faxes or emails. IF purchance they do get it to me I will post it on this board.

Good luck with you issue with Ebay. You will need it.

I guess I can see why the power sellers are the only ones that get access to the phone numbers. If ebay has already made thousands of dollars off of one person, maybe they are worthy of phone support. I just got screwed out of $650 off of an ebay scam. Was ebay there? No. I have received no replies from e-mailes or support requests and I can never reach phone support. $650, gone, and ebay, a multi-billion dollar corporation won't even give me the $12 I spent on the auction. I really hope that ebay will change to a place that cares about people. If anyone gets any e-mailes from larry_kunle4u@yahoo.com, he is the one who scammed me.

For the people looking for phone numbers, it is so obvious, wierd that I didn't try it sooner. Not that phone support will help, though. Ebay is located in San Jose, CA, so call 411 and they will give you a phone number. I have vonage with "enhanced" 411 dialing and they gave me two numbers. I don't know if these have already been posted, but I hope they can help someone.

I bought an item from a seller who had 100% feedback, received it used and damaged and was told that it was new when they shipped it. Guess someone in the post office opened the box and wore the shoes a few times, put them back in the box and sent them on their way. Anyway I send pictures, a shipping receipt to prove that I had contacted them on the day that the shoes were shipped and even offered to repair the shoes and keep them, if they would pay. I was accused of having buyers remorse and threatened with harrassement after the offer to repair. This has really been frustrating. It felt much like bumping my head against a brick wall. I am always surprised at how easy it is for some people to become so comfortable with total and complete dishonesty. Ebay must institute better forms of protection for buyers, if they wish to remain the worlds largest auction site. There are just too many other online retail sites springing up.
