I got scam by ebay second chance bid They took me for $4250.00 for a 1995 w proof set the email from ebay says Mark Cobain would get the money and proof set and when he had both he would send them out,,it even had ebay scam protection on the deal,,they were smart,,I,m 50 and they eat me up,,and all ebay would do is sent me a link to all the police numbers,,I,m finish with them you can lose $5,000 dollars and if the low life scum can your buying from dont want to pay go get another pc ,,,these people had all mine password acc. #s,,all this stuff from ebay,they should guard our stuff like a bank My $4259.00 is lunch money to them and I tried all the phone yall listed thank any way,,,thanks

A funny thing about trying to phone eBay...they make it as hard as possible because they claim they need a paper trail for documentation. Have they never heard of recording calls with permission like almost every other company has! Since they purchased Skype the company has been pushing VOIP communication at all of the users...why do they not utilize it themselves since their end goal is to make it where the seller and buyer can instantly talk to one another (or incorporate it into pay-per-call advertising)? A good moderator and a company with a decent customer relationship management and customer retention strategy would be able to know that, especially in e-commerce, communicating with all stakeholders in a transaction is vital.
At this point, I have been dealing with eBay for 6 years and 8 months but I do not know how much longer I will. Sure they may be artificially growing through acquisitions and international activity but somewhere along the way the company has changed from what it was when I first started using it. Hopefully, they remember soon that they need to listen to their customers and provide services that are needed and demanded rather than only trying to push services or ideas on a customer. Their ability to increase their level of communication is a key that will determine whether many users stay with the company.

I AM HAVING SOME TROUBLE MYSELF WITH CONTACTING THEM SO I SERCHED BLOGS AND EVERYTHING ELSE AND CAME UP WITH THIS NUMBER 1-800-322-9266. ON A BLOG I HEARD THAT AS SOON AS EBAYS CALL VOLUME SKYROCKETS THEY CHANGE THE NUMBER AGAIN, BUT I CALLED THIS ONE AND ITS FOR E-BAY. THEY JUST HAPPEN TO BE CLOSED FOR THE WEEKEND!

ebay should sell their number on EBAY. because in the need to speak with an actual person, I bet people would pay tons! highest bid for customer support and service...anyone? anyone?....anyways, the ebay phone number is on the web, you just have to do a little bit of searching, i have it myself, but i keep it locked in a safe. no, seriously...and they have never answered everytime i try calling.

i have the number (well two actually but both do the same thing). They will put you on hold for a long time but hang in there, i'm acually on the phone with them right now!!! Here are the numbers 1-800-322-9266

Hello,
This is not about Ebay phone numbers. I think this thread started with search problems within stores & Ebay not paying attention, not caring, etc. Now I have a new problem. I'm a long-time seller and this is just basic stuff I've always done - nothing new, nothing fancy. This past few days, several things have not been "working" for me:
1. Trying to change cross-promoted items. I click on the ones I want and Ebay tells me I've selected 0/4 items & therefore ignores my choices.
2. Trying to look at pull-down menus for items sold (e.g. to click on "item shipped"). Click & nothing happens.
3. When I use "sell similar" to list another book, the additional information that Ebay provides is for the PREVIOUS book.
Anyone else experiencing these things?

Serious problem with overcharges on latest invoice. Went through "normal" procedure for contacting "customer service" - whatever that is supposed to be at ebay. No response for over a week. Did Google search for eBay and a page came up listing eBay execs. On a hunch, sent an email about problem and lack of response to six execs. One replied almost immediately, a REAL email, and promised to have someone contact me. Still waiting after 30 minutes but there is hope. Try sending an email to: mwhitman@ebay.com (president and ceo); wcobb@ebay.com (president ebay NA); pomidyar@ebay.com (founder and chairman of the board); baxelrod@ebay.com (senior vp human resources); mjacobson@ebay.com (svp and general council); bswan@ebay.com (svp for finance and cfo). Has anyone considered following a manager home and then getting his records from the county real estate records and then calling the person at home. This mat get their attention that HELP is totally inadequate. I relisted an item recently and changed the category but when the listing started it reverted to the previous category and then no help with fixing it. I have never had Ebasy HELP answer a question. NEVER!
