Handmade? How are you doing on Ebay?
Mar 25, 2012 07:57 PM

I just started to sell my handmade girls clothing on Ebay and I will say, it is selling.  Not like Im going to get rich tomorrow but I am moving items that have just been sitting for a long time.  I did Etsy for years and it was just not for me I guess because with all the time and energy that went into it, it just was not working for me there.

So I don't see alot of people posting in the handmade forum but I will ask anyways, how is your handmade selling on Ebay?  Any pointer for a newbie so I won't go crazy right away?

Thanks in advance!!!

you should do well here.........but you have to get your logo and brand name out to people and put it in your listing header so they know right off it's you...it will work good luck...

I list jewelry that I make. I find that the most unusual and outrageous things sell the most. I also list as many things with "modernist" in the title to attract collectors. The jewelry market is heavily saturated, so I try only to list things I think are really different. I've just come back to selling after a long hiatus and have sold one pair of earrings, but in my research, I notice that it's a design that sells, regardless of the material or brand name.

Hi, welcome to the board.

I never heard the term "modernist". What does it mean???

Dare to dream, and then dare to begin.

I couldn't really say what "modernist" means. To me, it just means that it's not typical or traditional. If you do a search for "modernist" in the Jewelry & Watches category, it might give you a better idaea.
