Jungle Book Commemorative Lithograph 1997

I recently purchased a Jungle Book Lithograph from a local Thrift Store. It is a limited Commemorative Edition of 500. At the bottom left corner in hand written gold numbers is the edition number, at the bottom right corner is a gold seal indicating "Commemorative Edition". The scene is of the little indian boy riding on the top of the bear floating down a river. In addition, there is a black panther in a tree overlooking the boy and bear. Nice green folage and blue river water with red type blossoms in the tree branches. I haven't found another one like this on the internet anywhere. eBay has some that are similar and does not have the black panther in them. Can anyone shed some light on what I have? Thank you.

I purchase cartoon lithographs quite often.  It appears that you do not have one of the original cells.  That's too bad, because that would be worth some money.  What you is an authorized reproduction.  They don't sell for much, but it's nice for decorating purposes.  The black panther does not add or subtract from the value.

That's right, tough to get a lot for some of these types of scenes which are out there in abundance. Lmang, what types of lithos do you collect? Any characters in particular?

Oh, I have mostly Warner Bros stuff.  I do have some Disney Brother Bears.  And you?

I've got some older lithos, but have recently gotten into the Pixar films...but can't find many of those just yet.

If anyone sees any frames from Fantasia, let me know. Love those!

You can get some great stuff at land auctions!  Nothing for resale, but for yourself.

SB early?

Land auctions are indeed a great place to find those hidden treasures, but can be pricey. Dealing directly with a seller can be a lot easier and fewer fees all the way around.

I once got a cute Warner-Bros cell for my son at a sea auction.  That was a lot of fun!  I love all of those old cartoons!

Have you heard of any auctions in the Portland, OR area? Just moved here and I'm still finding my way around.

Looking forward to getting out some estate sales myself. Been scouring the papers online and with the holiday weekend, there haven't been too many.

I just got home yesterday from an estate sale in which I did pretty well. No lithographs though:|  Just glad to be home.

The estate sale I was locked into on Thursday has been cancelled, so I am free and clear tomorrow. No need to rush in the morning. I'll make some calls in the morning and see what's what.
