Vintage Walt Disney & Disneyland Collectibles

Feb 19, 2004 1:00 AM
While it might take a day or two to reply, we'll sure do all we can to help answer questions about your vintage Walt Disney or Disneyland collectible.

In particular, we try to specialize in items produced during Walt Disney's lifetime (1901 - 1966).

Much of the new stuff is nice, but we love the original Walt Disney collectibles!

Best wishes as you build your vintage Disneyana collection!

Can anyone give me any info on this mouse. I've had him forever and his tag is unreadable. I have not been able to find him anywhere. Please let me know any information or what you think he is worth if anything. Thank you.

Good evening,

I picked up a very curious piece that has a cardboard box that has a pattern on the outside and just marked 'Japan' on the bottom. The piece inside has Snow White, the 7 dwarfs and the castle - on an expandable base (it opens up like the old telephone holders or clothes racks. The only markings on the piece is another stamped 'Japan' on the bottom.

Anybody have any clues as to age and value - is it worth anything? I can't find another one ANYWHERE.

it looks like someone made it.
if japan is on the bottom wood base. then that is just a peice they desided to add their cutouts on.
its folk art looking. cute

Hello, I'm from Gresham, Oregon it's next to Portland.
I have an old "Walt Disney Productions" item I'm curious
about. It's "Made in West - Germany" and it has 30 Disney caricatures. There six wooden blocks with five sides covered with paper squares showing each caricature. One block is smaller than the next, then one block fits inside the other to make one block. The big block is 4 3/8" x 4 1/4" and the smallest is 2" x 2".
There's also a symbol, a triangle that looks like a squirrel standing on it's hind legs holding a pinecone and some letters that might be an H and a E ?.
I have searched some of the Disney Collectible sites and didn't find anything.
I hope you can help and if you have questions please feel free to ask.
Thank you

In 1939, my mother received a Snow White doll. Shortly thereafter, she received a hand-carved hope chest from China. She put her prized doll into her hope chest and forgot about it. Any ideas on the value of this doll?

Do you know if the German Slate Dancer was ever manufactured as a bank?

Thank you.

I can't locate this figurine anywhere on the internet. It's marked Walt Disney Productions on the bottom along with an Enesco sticker. Has roman numerals MCMLXV which I think is 1965. It's made of ceramic and is just short of 5" tall. It's Kaa the snake from Jungle Book. I will try to post a picture. Value?

I am thinking this little heart-shaped trinket box is a 1960s Minnie Mouse item - she appears to have been cold-painted over the china. The only damage I see is where the tips of her shoes have had a bit rubbed off.

Can you help with age, and an idea of saleability of the piece? I have not found any marks, except for the foil 'Japan' label.

Many thanks for your help -

Hi.

I have 5 Disneyland "Magic Mirror" edition records with their storybooks. Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Snow White, Cinderella and Bambi. The cover says copyright 1960, inside cover says copyright 1962. Anyone know what they are worth? I heard the magic mirror edition ones are more sought after.

Thanks!

Dave,

Was cleaning out the garage and found some Disneyland and DCA promotional items sent to me when I was a member of the media, specifically:

- an unopened, 40th Anniversary, numbered card set
- a Tomorrowland, liquid and glitter-filled rocketship
- and a ceramic, DCA Condor Flats, airplane letter holder

Was wondering what the value of these items might be, if any.

Thanks very much!

Dave,

My family had a set of blown glass Seven Dwarves Christmas ornaments that we believe are pre-1960s. The dwarves had bulbous, painted noses and had the metallic-looking finish popular of Italian glass ornaments of the era. They had cotton facial hair. They were very beloved by my family and have all been destroyed over the years, so I have been trying desperately to replace them but have no leads.

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much.

1930's Dopey Compost Knickerbocker Disney 9" Doll and a Happy doll. They come in their original clothing and hats and are in good condition.(the tip of the right shoe on Dopey is broke off and there is a small crack on his torso) What are they worth (one antique magazine said $300 - 400 in excellent shape with box)? What should I sell them for? I'm afraid to auction them and not break even for what I paid for them...
