Board Sanctions for Repeated or Egregious violations of Board Usage Policy

A sanction prohibits members from posting to any eBay board, including eBay Groups, while retaining the ability to buy and sell on eBay. A Sanction applies to all user ids a member may own or have access to and may also apply to all members of the same household.

If you receive a Board Sanction, you may not post with any user id, regardless of whether it has the technical ability to post. Posting with any account before your sanction is lifted may result in being permanently banned from the boards, and may also result in loss of buying and selling privileges through suspension of all your eBay accounts.

Members who receive a sanction may continue to buy and sell on eBay, while a suspension prevents members from any site activity, including bidding, listing, and posting to the boards. eBay may sanction an account without suspending it. eBay may suspend any member who has been previously warned for board policy violations. Both Sanctions and suspensions may range from 1 day to an indefinite period. All warnings, sanctions, and suspensions are in accordance with the guidelines set out in the eBay User Agreement and the eBay Trust and Safety guidelines.

Members contemplating posting in ways outside the Community norms, policies or Values must make a decision about how personally important they feel using the boards is to them, and conduct themselves accordingly, as indefinite sanction may result from repeated or egregious misbehavior, and violation of a Board Sanction may cause immediate and indefinite full site suspension.

Each loss of participation diminishes the community, and we hope that all will accept the responsibility for their part in maintaining the boards as clean, well-lighted places, populated with healthy communities.
