Anyone else not thrilled about the new rule regarding text on photos?

I sell paintings on ebay, so I like to put my copywrite mark on my photos of the paintings. This helps to alleviate some of the problems I have had with other users stealing my artwork and illegally selling it either as prints, cross-stitch patterns, etc. I report these people when I find that they have stolen images (either mine or that of other artists), but I can't be on guard all the time. Adding the text discourages them from using those photos, because they would have to do additional photo manipulation, and most of the time they just want something they can download and print.

Per the new ebay rules, additional text cannot be added to photos. I assume this means that we can't add a CR mark to our photos, which doesn't seem right, since the photograph is legally ours if we took it.

Does anyone else see this as a hinderence?
