when did ebay become an a retail store

i recently tryed selling a few antiques on ebay after 6 years of paying no attention to the site. i had over 1100 feed backs when i stopped. what a change, this site is no longer an auction. it is the same as going to a antique mall or store. the new way of selling is thus, if you dont't know the value of what you have for sale you put a crazey price on it. if some nut does not bid on it,  you have buy it now, best offer, and other ways of selling. when did the site become the same as a antique store, when did selling stop becomming fun. ebay is no longer  unique, it is about as fun as going to the dentist. what is the sence of bidding on an item, either pay the price or forgit it. it only took 5 items for me to decide i want no part of the NEW ebay!!!

You just have to love all the new rules for the sellers! Nope, we now work for ebay and pay them dearly for that "privledge"--ha! I did use to enjoy ebay and work was fun but I dislike every minute I am online working on ebay but for now I don't have any choices--wish someone would start up a place like ebay use to be! :( I'd jusp ship in a  heartbeat! Seems like ebay got a bit greedy!!
