Let us know what you think!

As an eBay member since 2005 with a continuing 100% feedback. Now, in 2008..there's a 99.9% due to a neutral because the buyer didn't read or view an item...months ago. My first question is..How will this 'new feedback' rating build customer confidence ????????? In my opinion, this will result in less confidence.

Neutral feedback is not neutral if it counts the same as a negative.
Buyers and Sellers should have been notified EXACTLY 12 months prior to this change that this was going to change.
My score went from 99% to 96% due to neutral feedbacks.
Many of even my repeat buyers left them not knowing the outcome of there comments would affect mine and other sellers businesses.
I did not appreciate the pop up for buyers yesterday letting them know to NOT FEAR us sellers. It is so disrespectful of ebay to group us in such a way.
There should have been a pop up letting buyers know neutrals count in the same way as a negative now.
I think the change is horrible and has left a sour taste in the mouth of many ebayers.
F- to the feedback changes.

Why can classicgm1966 leave us negative feedback a day after he contacted us about a 40 year old brochure not being in good enough condition for him and we told him to return it for a FULL refund, and we cant leave him negative feedback? he has a score of 10 and several negatives, i see BIG problems coming to Ebay, people are sure to complain as i see has already started to happen, Thank You for letting me vent, ~Steve~

I think the "sellers only get negative feedback" is totally unfair too. Anyone can say anything for any reason, and there is no repurcussions for bad buyers! Also, the fees have TOTALLY discouraged me from posting anything but store inventory on my other account. I sell CDs for $5 above my cost (reasonable price) but with a $2 fixed price listing, then a $1.13 final value fee, and the Pay Pal fees, why try, especially when psychos can leave you bad feedback for no good reason! All for a 75 cent profit?

Also, I WAS going to do some charity auctions on this account, but I WILL NOT ALLOW MISSION FISH TO CHARGE MY PERSONAL CREDIT CARDS FOR A MINIMUM OF $5 NO MATTER WHAT THE FINAL SELLING PRICE! Unfair to small sellers! I want to be generous, but I also dont want to jack up my personal credit card debt!

Also, eBay has effectively banned digital downloads (Dont argue eBay, it true!) giving the lame excuse, that since downloads are produced for practically free it's "easy to manipulate the feedback". Say what? Either people like it or they don't, they either leave good feedback or not. *Why not admit the real reason for the ban is fear of copyright lawsuits against eBay? * Gee, I could pick a rock up off the ground for FREE, claim it had the Virgin Mary's face on it, and auction it for a profit. So what's the difference? A download is a more honest purchase, more worthy of feedback IMHO.

Regarding "GivingWorks", does eBay match seller's donation?

Yes it is very unfair for Ebay to allow only buyers to leave negative feedback. I think that is why Ebay peaked several years ago and is in a decline mode currently. It is not has productive or even as friendly as it used to be. Also, buyers have changed. Buyers used to bid immediately - now they wait to the last minute or so making the auction format less fun.

I thought that this feedback forum was about Giving Works?

I hope that streamlining and simplifying the Giving Works process will encourage more poeple to help out with a worthy charity.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to give you a quick update on the re-launch of the website at www.ebaygivingworks.com. As you might imagine, this is a massive undertaking, so we are still bringing everything back up online. You may experience errors when trying to load some pages, but this will be temporary, as we complete the transition.

We're looking forward to officially unveiling the new site to you and getting your thoughts :).

Best,
The eBay Giving Works team

The whole eBay works system is messed up. The link on my Selling Summary doesn't work. I can't get into the system or make a donation. How am I supposed to make my donation if you all messed up the links?

Hi peaceandbalance:
Thanks for your message. I'm sorry you're having trouble with the new Donation Account.

If you'll send a note directly to our Community Care team, they will help you get to the bottom of this tomorrow. They get started early on the East Coast - so please be sure to mention where you're located.

Thanks for your patience with our new upgrade.

The "enhancements" suck. You people just can't leave something that works well alone, can you? I have run many listings for Giving Works to date raising nearly a thousand dollars this year alone. The old system worked fine, it did not need changed and I really would have much happier if you would have refrained from molesting it in this manner. But no, of course not, I forgot where I am. I am on eBay, where no executive ever had a bad idea.

Would you like any more of my feedback on the new and much unimproved eBay giving works?

Hi manoftwine:
Thanks for your message, and for letting us know about the problem you encountered. We definitely appreciate your feedback - good, bad and otherwise.

This particular upgrade was suggested by the sellers who use eBay Giving Works, rather than eBay executives. We took the best ideas we heard about making the program easier - from surveys, focus groups, and even board posts - and put a year of work behind it to create the Donation Account. Our goal is to make this easier (not harder) and to help more sellers become $1,000 donors like you.

We're hard at work now fixing a few issues that remain, but soon we think you'll see why this really is the biggest upgrade we've ever made. I'm glad to hear how much you liked the old MissionFish account - give the new account a chance.

Thanks for your patience, and everything you've done for nonprofits through eBay Giving Works.
