Display Larger Images on RSS Feed

I am successfully using the rss feed system to grab the ebay listings I would like to display on my website and it works great. I can display titles, thumbnail images, prices etc in a nice format. But what I'd really like to do is allow users to view full size (or at least a _bit_ larger) images than the thumnails so they can see more clearly what they might be interested in buying before clicking away from my site and over to ebay.

I can't see any way to do this though. Am I missing something?

Not sure if RSS has image size options.

But you can pull thumbnails up to 140x140 using a modified image URL.

Full size pics can also be retrieved using the Finding/Shopping APIs.

FWIW, I've been using that image/URL hack in a couple of my apps successfully for about 2 years now, no problem. Seems to be a stable tweak (fingers crossed).

Hi,

Thanks for the advice. Have you tried or have any idea if you can go larger? It's just that many of the images feature part numbers so it's hard to read.

For that hack, I think 140x140 is the largest thumbnail that's in use and available.

Are you parsing RSS feeds yourself? If so, taking the next step to retrieve data from the eBay API in XML isn't hard, and using GetSingleItem you can get full photos.
