Previous banned account????

Apr 16, 2009 9:40 PM
After working with EPN using Bans since May 2008 I received notice today that my account is being terminated because:

"we found that your account is related to a previous banned account"

Since I have never had another account, never bought a domain or website from anyone and have 30 sites I build myself with a lot of content written by me, a privacy policy on every site and have earned a steady income for almost a year I'm a little bewildered by this action. I have hundreds of hours of work in my EPN sites.
No, I don't have all my eggs in one basket. I have several online businesses. Bans is just one, and has been a very good one.
When entering into an agreement with Ebay one would expect a business envronment based on a level of reasonable expectations like, if you do what you say you will do and I do what I say I will do and we are both operating in compliance with the other's policy's business is conducted. Ebay has now chosen to ignore any semblance of reasonable expected behavior. This program can go nowhere but failure.

Again, I have never had any other account, just the account I signed up for and used but have been terminated.

So what to do next

Thank You
Stefan Antonius

Yes thanks, my account has been CLOSED in this morning.

A year of work. When he started to work I have closed. Without any explanation.

They just sent this:
"we found that your account is related to a previous banned account"

What banned account? Anyway no matter. It seems they are not serious.

This is life.

I would like to share my thoughts abouts this problem.

Those who are using BANS(Build A Niche Store) are the main victims.

EPN also doesn't know the meaning of "your account is related to a previously banned account":-D

All who got this email has only one account.

My conclusion.

Ebay don't want certain affiliates because of some reason that they don't want to disclose.I think that BANS and low quality traffic are the reasons.Since EPN has already approved BANS,they cannot say that the reason is BANS.

They could have terminated account for low quality traffic but they have to pay the last month payment. So they found an imaginary reason. Now they could easily revert our pending commissions. This is not a fair approach from a company like ebay.

So long EPN is Not ready to disclose the EXACT meaning of "your account is related to a previously banned account",I believe what I think.

Sorry for the bad English

Thanks

Most important quote all online marketers(especially affiliate marketers) MUST remember

"Don't put all your eggs in one basket"

I would like to share a great sentence from an ebook about affiliate marketing i have recently read.

The way the affiliate game has been
defined has been “you send us traffic and
if it buys something we’ll probably pay
you something”.

Now I realise that it is 100% true.

Re: Previous banned account????

And I have the account from April 2008.

I've never had another Partner account

I have never had another account -- not even through CJ

I have this account on EPN from April 2008 and i have never use CJ affiliate program or others.

Have never had another EPN account.

Please note that the email NEVER said that you were banned for having a previous ePN account. NEVER.

They could be linked to OTHERS' accounts via domain names, hosting accounts, Adsense pub numbers, and the list goes on....

Also, where did these accounts come from? ePN.... or elsewhere perhaps..... hmmmmmm....

ePN black market accounts are being bought and sold every single day. I belong to all the blackhat forums under various ID's so I can watch these knuckleheads work. They SWEAR they're untraceable. Uh-Huh.... Do you REALLY think ePN doesn't record every single IP that every single ePN account is opened under? How hard do you think is is to ban every account opened under the same open Russian proxy server IP on the same day 11 months ago once they figure it out?

I'm sure no one will admit that they were declined 4 times then bought thier ePN account elsewhere...................

Will:

That link is not helpful because eBay immediately terminates the affiliate account. Without an account, one cannot login to the help section to post a question.

According to the eBay Partner Network agreement, section 14.7:

"Notices. Except as provided elsewhere herein, both parties must send all notices relating to this Agreement (i) to ePN, via registered mail, return receipt requested or via an internationally recognized express mail carrier to eBay Partner Network Inc., Attn: Legal Dept., 2145 Hamilton Ave., San Jose, CA 95125 USA (effective upon actual receipt); and (ii) to you, by notification via the Network, email or mail to the address listed on your account...."

In other words, eBay can send messages to affiliates via email, but affiliates must pay a fee to send registered mail in order to contact eBay.

Until eBay provides a reasonable means of being directly contacted without cost, there are a couple other possibilities:

The email for the eBay Partner Network quality team is:

eBayPartnerNetwork-quality@ebay.com

Anyone on this thread can send information to my law office, and my office will forward it by registered mail as per section 14.7 above. This does not create any attorney-client relationship, but is merely offered as means of providing a no-cost means of corresponding with eBay.

Interesting.... just found the original thread by the OP this post was stolen from. Upon looking at the other posts from this person, I found a topic that they were actively trying to buy blind, an already built BANS site/domain........ Hmmmmmmm.....

Uhhh, did you try clicking the link. You can continue as a guest and still submit the form.

Guess you didn't do your full due diligence in investigating something before making your comment.

Don't argue. All lawyers are smarter than you, so you must be mistaken.

Since you are talking about me I will respond. I asked about purchasing a website from someone. I did not purchase. Not sure what your point is. "Actively trying to buy blind" is not an accurate statement by you. I saw a site that had a topic I was interested so I inquired about it. You have no knowledge of what I intended to do with the site so to make statements about it adds no value to this discussion.
In regards to another post you made regarding the origination of the account:
I set the account up on my computer in my office. I purchased all domain brand new from go daddy or network solutions. I used the Bans software to start some of the site. That alone could be a problem except my sites have a lot of original content written by me and are quality sites.
I don't have any other account, nor have I ever had any other account. I am not linked to anything else or anyone else. Just a guy who works online on the side to help pay the bills. Nothing illegal or immoral about that.
There's no reason for my EPN account to be banned. It has to be a mistake or some other reason.

Will,

I've sent numerous emails beginning last week and haven't gotten any response! How do we "work with you to resolve the issue" if you refuse to respond?

Exactly! Don't expect a reply. My account was banned last December and despite many emails NOT ONE REPLY. You won't get anywhere so move on. Needless to say I did not have any either accounts either
