eBay Radio Las Vegas Party Meet Up Thread

Hi gang,

By special request, here is a dedicated thread to those who want to chat about where and when to meet up in Las Vegas the week of the eBay Radio 6th Anniversay Party.

I will keep this tacked to the top and unlocked for the next month and beyond as necessary.

Hi Dottie- Thank you for your advice. My son and I were to spend his final HS weekend in Vegas. However, his nursing classes took over and now I am stuck with the reservation. Sure, I can call and modify it to accomodate my days, but it will not be fair to our event. I am trying to do the best I can to keeping the commitment. I planning to arrive on Sunday or early Monday. I want to enjoy being with other eBayers before the event. Vegas is fun. I used to play soccer there up until my 40s. Trust me--we packed up to 10 people in the room. Most of us needed a place to take a tiny nap and shower in a safe area before the next tournament's game or party. I guess that was the old good days. We all were professionals. We understood that in "our room" there was no smoke, alcohol, noise, or last minute freind allowed. It was just a matter of commitment and respect for the trips that we took together for almost 15 years.

oh my gosh... what took me so long to hear about this board? I'm not on top of my game!

Dottie!!! Anita!!! Mattie!!! Helen!!! Betsy!!! and Pineapple!!!! so glad you guys are all going to be there. I'm driving in that night but probably won't get there until late. I'm planning on staying downtown that night cuz I get a comped room. Doubt I'll make the meet & greet but will see you all the next day. I'm staying at the Rio Wed and Thurs night though so will be available for all late night activities!

I've got a prior commitment on Monday night so won't be able to leave until the 23rd and it's a 12 hour drive. I'll be beat when I get there but Vegas always gives me new life! Not sure how well I'll do on the drive home though ; )

There is a great coupon book that is available at all B & M book stores called the American Casino Guide. Make sure you get the 2009 one and it is full of good coupons for both eats and gambling. You can also get it on Amazon and it will most likely come in time for you.

Can't wait to see everyone there, we are going to have so much fun!

Not sure if I am doing this right....

I was hoping that somebody would post a list of all the informal meetings people are putting together a few days before the event. I missed a bunch of stuff in Chicago because I was new!

bluefrogshoes: hey there.... looks like you're doing this right! *smile*

There's a link to the Agenda on the eBay Radio Party "main page" - for all of the scheduled events of the mini Conference style PARTY.

Notice that there are ample networking breaks throughout each day AND nothing on the schedule overlaps - so we're gonna get to DO IT ALL. (oh yay!)

As far as after hours meetin' up and hanging out - I think THIS is the place folks are posting to make some of those plans.

I'm doing some research looking for the best deal on a Grand Canyon Tour. I may do this on either Sunday or Monday...not sure which day.

Most of the Grand Canyon tours are all day tours (12-16 hours) and most include some sort of lunch option.

If anyone else is interested in a Grand Canyon tour, let me know while I'm getting my information together.

golden_pineapple: I'm not going to be in Vegas long enough - besides, I've all ready been to the Grand Canyon a few times. It's BEAUTIFUL though and I would encourage anyone who hasn't been to GO SEE IT.

SOOOOooo - have we decided for sure on a TIME for the "Meet & Greet" ???
