Hi kustomkanine -

eBay To Go is not available as a tool for affiliates now. To view what tools you can use as an affiliate, visit the eBay affiliate page - http://affiliates.ebay.com.

Thanks,
Stephen

I agree that the affiliate connection would make the Ebay to Go tool more powerful.

The eBay affiliate tools hide all the title keywords anyway so that they aren't indexed in the search engines and they are too restrictive anyway. Working with the eBay API is the most effective way to build an affiliate website.

frantichippie,

I was wondering if you could clarify this a bit more... You wrote "affiliate tools hide all the title keywords anyway so that they aren't indexed in the search engines".

Are you saying that the content within a Editor Kit item isn't picked up by spiders? If so, that'd be understandable. However, if using the Flexible Destination Tool (which allows placement of text links into your site's content...) that I would think would get crawled just fine. Am I wrong about that?

I was lucky enough to go to eBay Live 2007 and sit in on the ToGo presentation. Count me in the group of users who would find value in being able to stuff an affiliate ID into the ToGo widget to capture that traffic. You know people are going to be clicking on the top left corner and heading straight to eBay!

Hello - Starting today, eBay Affiliates may use To Go as a tool to promote on your website. To create an Affiliate version of To Go, visit: http://togo.ebay.com/affiliates We added a step that prompts you for your affiliate PID. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm for eBay To Go on the boards and email. To access eBay To Go and other affiliate tools, visit: http://affiliates.ebay.com/ns/Tools.htm. We appreciate your feedback and can be reached at togo@ebay.com. Thanks! Stephen Chang eBay Buyer Engagement ** As a reminder and in accordance with eBay Affiliate policies, you will not receive credit for eBay To Go widgets that are embedded on eBay pages.

Hello Stephen,

It was very thoughtless saying you can create an affilitate version of "To Go". This additional step does NOTHING. The copied code doesn't shows your PID. So, what's the point?

Hi right2resell -

Can you email the URL of the website you embedded your affiliate version of eBay To Go on? I can help you take a look at it. We are not seeing any problems with the new affiliate version.

Please send your email to togo@ebay.com.

Thanks,
Stephen

SID Tracking available? I've basically added the following to the code string in hopes that it works:

&SID=WhateverYouWant

This is the same as how the URL's work for flexible destination tracking.

Thanks,
Tyler

Hello Stephen,

I also do not see the PID in the HTML. Even after having loaded page to site it does not show in the HTML.

The Script is there, But no PID nor &SID.

Please advice

I have a stupid question. I'm new to Ebay Affiliates, and can anyone tell me where I can locate my PID? I've looked all over my account info - absolutely nothing mentions anything close to a PID number. Is this info hidden or embedded somewhere?

the PID thing was relevant when eBay used commission junction for their affiliates, now it is called something different.

Can anyone tell me if these links can hurt my sites search engine rankings and if they are "nofollow" links are not?

Wow, it's dead here.. :(

Anyhow, perhaps I should be using the EPN forum for this.

I'm using the Ebay togo widget currently, but the users are having a hard time trying to figure out how to "click" to go to the items on ebay. For some reason the images or listing titles aren't clickable with the ToGo widget.
