effective date of no insurance

when is the effective date of the no charge for insurance policy. I know its in September but not the exact date. Just won a $20 item and seller says insurance is mandatory for $175.

Sept 22 is the date.

Is this the item you won Husqvarna Viking AB Type 176 Sewing Machine Item number: 160359346936

If so the auction says insurance is included in the shipping price, so what ever the calculated shipping price was before the auction to your location it should still be the same after the auction.

I hope your seller meant $1.75 not $175 for insurance.

If the auction you won did say insurance required or included in shipping and handling, you might see the invoice show a line for Shipping $---- and under that another line for Insurance required $---- that is just the why ebays invoice shows it.

The key issue is whether or not the Seller said, on the Auction Page, that the insurance was already included in the Shipping & Handling cost.

If he sent you an invoice for an amount that is higher than what he listed on his Auction Page, you can refuse to pay-----and you should tell him that you are going to file a NonPerforming Seller report against him, unless he sends you a new, correct invoice.

As a buyer I do not mind paying a reasonable insurance amount.

BUT I do not like it to be manditory and a total surprize.

Recently I won a $2.50 item and when I tried to check out the seller had a MANDITORY $10.00 insurance cost that was NOT mentioned anywhere in their auction.

This Should be considered FRAUD

You should be complaining to your seller and ebay,. By the way, you posted 3 identical post on this board, that is against board policy.

Rule of Acquisition #18 would apply to your situation, "Sometimes what you get free costs entirely too much."
