Bridezillas $60 item Return for any reason

Jul 2, 2009 6:53 AM
:^O brand new 0 FB Does NOT know even how to check the caculated shipping to her zip or even how to make the purchase.

Buyer needs hand holding throughout whole process to even buy it , no clue at all on how to make the purchase

$60 fragile item + around $12 ship cost too.
She made a pest of herself & i was trying to help her out for over 2 hrs before she even asked the ? that got her blocked .;)

Do you accept returns for any reason ? like say after i get it , If it does not fit my needs can i just return it :_|

My reply:basically said

I do not offer refunds unless it is my error If you are unsure that it will fit your needs? It would best to not buy it.

Well her reply back was hostile & rude so my seller instinct to BBL was correct B-)

Why do buyers get stupid ?:( when they want something & it is only 1 just like it listed on ebay or other online places too . Do they NOT realize that they should be nice & not get hostile & rude towards the seller when the seller was trying to help them out:(

Now the buyer found out they were BBL & still wants to buy it LOL yea right not in this lifetime B-)

Once you get rude & hostile with me you lost the chance to buy it & no matter how nice ;) you get AFTER being rude hostile with me. Knowing you are BLOCKED .will i remove your ID from BBL. just so you can buy it , use it for wedding, then return it used {maybe making a false claim to do so } get a refund from PP with me getting a now USED item back, NEG FB & DSR hits, out shipping costs ETC.

Why do some buyers think sellers are stupid B-) Of course i could use the sale , 1 of the reasons i tried to help her out , But not at my expense of anything more then time wasted already :(

No more, if my instinct says BBL from the start then I BBL instead of wasting time & still BBL in the end because I do not want to risk time money & the item being damaged or smashed too by buyer NOT packing it as securely as i did in shipping it to her if i had to accept a return .

I'd have blocked the buyer and the seller.

Rude and hostile attracts rude and hostile.

And a sock so it seems.

Someone pass me an explanation and a tanq on the rocks please.

I'm thinking an outfit of dryer sheets might be more beneficial around here;)

I remember needing help with my first purchase here and e-bay was a lot less complicated then. I'm glad I got someone who was nice about it.

I've had to help a few newbie buyers through the eBay/PayPal maze- none of them asked me about refunds. Then again, my TOS clearly states that I do accept returns. Guess they didn't feel the need to ask.

This buyer asked a few questions, and gets put on the sellers BBL (well within their rights).

Encouraging the buyer to bid, and ask questions later. The very thing sellers are hoping to avoid...

To be completely fair ... A buyer who asks ...

"Can I return this for any reason?" - new or not, is one that is going to be blocked by many.

Ok
Why do ya think that way ? Whats so belittling ??:|

BTW have NOT seagulled I am busy & had to go somewhere & felt the need to vent a little bit about a newby buyer who is a very big risk to a seller

I am a PS with over 4500 FB 100% pos FB DSRS are 4.8, 4.9's & 5.0 with 1000's items listed . I do not have tons of spare time to spare at any given time. Yet I really did try to help the buyer out{ over 2 hrs wasted } until they got stupid rude hostile towards me.

Thats when i call it quits on helping a newby buyer out holding thier hand just so they could buy it & quite possibly force a NON valid return on me. No it is not a dress or clothing.

Item not revealed to protect my seller ID

Item is fragile & easily broken if not handled or packed securely

like say if buyer returned it BUT did not pack it the way i packed it {Most likely???} it would be broken when i got it back useless & NON sellible to another buyer.

Private Emails are NOT allowed to be posted & too many button pushers around here .

Asking a ? is NOT why buyer got blocked. I encourage ?? to be asked as i want happy buyers

But i do not want to risk selling to a buyer who is asking for no ?? asked returns { for ANY reason } before or after sale .

If she did a return on me it would cost me money plus risk of NO item to sell because they could easily damage it on purpose to force a refund AFTER they used it for the wedding.

I lose the $$ Item out shipping ETC. Yep just not worth it when sale starts out with buyer asking for a ANY reason refund policy, that I do not offer & is stated so in listing.

I would only voluntarliy refund for MY error or shipping damage which most likely will not happen as i have {KNOCK on Wood B-) } Jinxing myself :-p never have had a item damaged during shipping. I do pack very well ! Overkill packing but how many sellers who sold over 7000 items in 5 years can say legit wise no shipping damage ever .;) and NOT 1 LOST package either

> Er, um...that's not the reason why the op blocked. Why don't you re-read the op.

Actually, the OP says it was the question that got the buyer blocked:

She made a pest of herself & i was trying to help her out for over 2 hrs before she even asked the ? that got her blocked .

That decision was then validated by the buyer's supposedly hostile reply:

Well her reply back was hostile & rude so my seller instinct to BBL was correct

Everything about your opening post is hostile, mocking, and rude, and belittling:) - In my opinion.

Starting with "Bridzilla" and opening your post with a laughing smiley, laughing that your buyer was new and didn't know how to figure out shipping ??? ... C'mon:)

> Blocking a buyer because they ask a question before bidding, which is what everyone here suggests, is not right. Virtualwhimsy was right when she said new buyers might need a little hand holding. What's the problem with helping a buyer through her first purchase AND making some money in the process? I swear, some of you sellers shoot yourselves in the foot over nothing.

$60 item + $12 Shipping is NOTHING to you ;)

Way too Big Risk for me when buyer is asking about returns for ANY reason .

I will ship you exactly what you buy, there is no need to accept a return for any reason.

If you are unsure if it will meet your needs or not go buy it from a retail store if you can. unless it got damaged which most likely will not ever happen with my packing:)

I hand hold buyers many times but there comes a time that with some buyers a seller needs to cut that buyer loose.

OP - everyone who has responded (except for one) has agreed they would have blocked this buyer after that question as well;)

Well except for items received damaged, or not received at all right?

You do realize OP that any buyer can force a return on you if they want. If a buyer really wants to scam you and just use the item for their wedding and return it, pay pal will enable them to do that. I'm just saying, a scammer probably wouldn't even ask or care what your return policy is.

Thats why the wriitten word bites because intent can be misread;)

The LOL smiley was not intended as belittling just my way of expression . I like those smileys ;)

The shipping was clearly listed & buyer did not know what s&H was It is sad :( but funny too :-p
